This whole thing was inspired by my really good friend Amaya. We were just messing around but it turned into a fic idea and I've never written a joshler fic so here I am. Not sure how long it will be but I've got some ideas so stick around for a while:)

Tyler sat at his desk in his large office. He stared at the plain white walls deep in thought. People on this planet didn't "decorate" because it wasn't practical and didn't serve a purpose.

Everything was black and white, A or B. The culture and way of life was centered on practicality and purpose. Tyler's mind had never worked that way and that set him apart from everyone. Ever since he was a young prince learning how to act as a king one day he had always been scolded for asking "foolish" questions and behaving childishly.

He would run around the estate climbing on anything that was a ridiculous height from the ground and using any item he found as some sort of noise constructing device. He was a loud energetic child but that was all drained from him after the one person that made him who he was was taken away.

Growing up, Tyler saw many servants come and go but one family in particular brought a boy along with them about Tyler's age, nine. He was shy and always looked anxious. He was the first person Tyler had seen with hair as red as his eyes. Everyone's eyes were red but everyone's hair was always black or brown. It intrigued Tyler and eventually the two boys began exploring the estate together. Tyler continued with his noise constructing devices and Josh would find sticks to bang on anything that made sound.

Tyler would climb and Josh would stop banging and begin to worry. Once Josh got so worried that his chest began to rise and fall at a rapid pace. His eyes went wide and he stared at Tyler in shear terror. This was the time Tyler discovered his ability. Tyler had held Josh tight to his body in an attempt to stop his lungs from exploding but a green light surrounded the two young boys. A wave of relief washed over Josh when his breathing had steadied and the tears had stopped. The green light was gone leaving Tyler confused and staring down at his hands.

After the incident Tyler's mother and father decided it was best to take Josh out of the estate. Tyler was forbidden to see Josh ever again and it crushed both the boys. They were thirteen when they were separated. Josh had taken it a lot worse and eventually got in trouble with the authorities. He was deported to an unidentifiable location and labelled as an Anomaly.

Of course Tyler heard all this from his parents and from that day on he spent his days in his room, scratching at the walls, scribbling on them with a black marker, and throwing what little furniture was in the room. It was a downward spiral and eventually he slipped into a state of loneliness and despair.

Tyler was 20 years old now and he had been expected to take on the responsibility of king. His father had passed away when Tyler was living in his mind and his mother had done her best to carry on. Neither of them had told him how to handle this ability and he was lost. He thought about Josh everyday since the incident. All he wanted was to feel real again. Josh made him feel that.

He was interrupted by a knock behind the plain white doors of his office.

"Yes come in." He called.

One of his servants entered.
"Sir you have an urgent message from an unknown sender. Would you like to see it or should I discard it?"

"No no bring it here. I'll have a look." Tyler sat forward and reached for the tablet. The servant left and Tyler tapped the 'receive' button on the screen.

Rows and rows of numbers appeared on the screen. Tyler tuned into the sequence and let both his brains take in the information. When the message had stopped he whirled around in his chair and inserted the memory chip into the port behind his ear. After a few moments he removed the memory chip and inserted it into the Viewer on the wall. After being processed through his brains it had been translated into his language.

Tyler. You have to come find me. It's nice here and we can make noise like we used to. They call it music and it's beautiful. I think about you everyday. Please come find me.
-Josh

Tyler felt a tear slip from his red eyes and he clutched a hand to his mouth. Josh was alive? And he was happy? Tyler didn't know whether to scream, laugh, or both.

Please come find me.

How was he supposed to find him? He had a planet to run and people counting on him and he didn't even know what planet or galaxy Josh was in. But this was Josh. The only person that had ever made him feel like he had a purpose. Not any of this king stuff. No it was Josh. So he decided he would find him. He would find Josh if it was the last thing he did because what ever he had to sacrifice to do so would be worth it.

He took the memory chip out of the Viewer and threw open the doors of his office. He walked down the long dimly lit hallway, determination flowing through him and his thin floral garment behind him.
