"Elena, Hurry up! You'll miss your graduation!" Diana yelled,
"Ok, I'm coming down now!" I shouted back. I take one more look in the mirror and see my olive colored skin, long midnight black hair, heart shaped face, and violet eyes with a hint of gold. And the outfit that I had chosen the night before to go under my graduation gown was a blue pair of shorts an, a white t-shirt and light pink lipstick, with black sandals. As I left downstairs I grabbed my graduation gown an ugly yellow with the symbol of St. Maria Miami high school (St. MMH as I like to call it St. Militant Misery High school). I run downstairs and grab a fiber one bar and head toward the garage to the car. I reach for the car door handle but before I even touched it I felt sick and exhausted like I was transported, something happened because when I looked around me all I could see was myself running but at a pace that was inhumane in a forest but I had the feeling of fear as if I was running away from something or someone. I saw a shadow out of a corner of my eye but before I could take a good look at the face they had a hand around my mouth so I won't shout and all I saw was his or its piercing green eyes. Diana touched my shoulder sending back to reality I face her and see she has a worried look on her face.
"Are you okay? Honey, maybe I should just pick up your diploma? You look pale in the face and look like you just got out of a Inception movie" Diana says worriedly
"I'm alright, I think just a little nervous, sad, and a little fearful of what's next. I also want to get my diploma and rub it in those snot nose teachers faces" I say with a smile
" Are you sure?" she asks
"Get in the car Mom, or we'll be late" I say with a laugh.
She grinned at me as she got in the car but I could still see in her eyes she was still worried, we started off on the road but I looked out the passenger window and wondered what the hell is happening to me, what was that, and what does it mean? We arrived at school, as we parked my best friend, Vanessa Borne, walked up we've known each other since kindergarten when she first moved here she stuck up for me when I was bullied she's done that since middle school she is the sister I never had. As soon as my mom parked the car I jumped out and gave Vanessa a huge hug that I almost cried,
"Come on we're meeting up with Jacob and Tory, and we don't want to miss our own graduation, do we?" she said, I called back to Diana and said "Mom! We'll catch you later, K?"
she texted me back and said Okay, I'll be in the third row next to Sammy.
Sammy is a nickname for Samuel that's Diana's latest boyfriend, he's like a dad to me because he's protective of me and been with my mom for 4 years. Vanessa and I meet up with Tory and Jacob on the side of the school on the mini hill; all of us have always been together. We've been there through the good and bad times: we love each other as if we were family.
