"I'm about to cry because of all the memories and the time we spent here, four years gone in a flash." Tory says sniffling. Tory is a strawberry blond with a mixed personality of a cheerleader and a punk rocker. Tori is 5'3 with brown eyes and loyal to a fault.
"Stop the crying babe it's not like we aren't going to see each other anymore this is just a new chapter for our story" says Jacob soothingly as he rubs her back while Tori sobs into his shoulder. Jacob and Tori have been together since they met in middle school and they never really been apart since then. "Dude, turning into a girl already, what a waste" Vanessa joked teary eyed. Checking the time on my watch as everyone dog-piled upon Jacob as we did the first time we all met.
"Children, children calm down its time to graduate high school so move you lazy asses down to the gym" I yelled as I run down the hill toward the school the rest followed complaining that they weren't kids but laughing all the way. We made it to the school toward the gym as everyone had their ugly graduation gown on trying not to seem as nervous and excited as they glance toward their families. The Principle and some teachers walk on to the stage as the teachers take their places so do the students and parents. Everyone know that Principal Cathy is cool but was also a motivational speaker once knowing that we all wont leave this gym without a little tears that is.
"So everyone made it finally not to sound ungrateful for your delightful pranks and scams and ...drama but isn't today the beginning for you. Why waste it? Each person sitting next to you has had...mistakes, problems, drama, tantrums, and tear-jerking situations. So doesn't it feel good to say that 'I did it, I graduated'. Even those times where someone planned all the seniors to play with legos in the hall way at a certain time *cough *cough Trinity *cough" Principal Cathy says as the gym fills with laughter and the images of senior year is showed above on the screen. As the gym quiets down the Principal continues her speach.
" At St. Maria High-School, each and every one of you has left a legacy here. But now it's time to start a new legacy, a new beginning, and a new life. Its up to you to decide what to do from here but don't forget what you left here...Mr. Stanley is going to start with the diploma's the first row stand" as Mrs. Cathy stepped aside she left the whole gymnasium in tears. The students, parents, and even the teachers were crying, when Mr. Stanley started calling names I couldn't hear any of them because I was nervous, excited, and hesitant all in one but I knew that once I heard my name being called I will take that step to a new adventure.
"Elena Roberts" he called and I took that step onto the stage straight toward Mr. Stanley and reached for the diploma with my right hand and shakes his hand with the left like we rehearsed the day before and I continued to do so with the other teachers but when I got to Mrs. Cathy I gave her a hug. Our student – body president gave us a speech but all I could hear over my heart beats were
" throw your caps up because we're FINALLY GRADUATED!" Causing us to cheer and do exactly that and all of us walked toward our families but my only family is my mom. My mom adopted me when I was eight, she said I was abandoned by a boy that looked the same age as me she thinks that he was my brother or someone who was related to me but she couldn't be for certain. She looked for my parents and the boy for a months before officially adopting me, she raised me on her own and with all the love of a real biological mother. I walked toward my mother and gave her a hug and said " I did it, I finally did something you could be proud of."
And at that she pulled back and grabbed my chin and replied, " I was always proud of you and that would never change, now let's go home and eat some Oreo ice-cream with that cheesy romantic movie your so into."
She laughs with tears in her eyes and I give a little laugh " Okay let me say goodbye to the guys" as I turn around I feel as someone was watching me but its was only a feeling so I shook it of. I ran toward Vanessa
