Freya's Apartment

Freya Mikaelson stood at her dining room table; potions, herbs, and symbols scattered across it. She was completely unaware of the raging bull of her hybrid half-brother that was coming her way but he made his presence known when he reached her front door. "Freya!" He shouted as he kicked the door down. Luckily for Freya, the hybrid was unable to enter as he had not been invited in. "Yes, brother?" She said, annoyed as she approached the doorway. "What have you done with Rebekah? I know you have her!" Klaus shouted. He was in a blinding rage.

Freya rolled her eyes. "What are you talking about? Rebekah's with Marcel." She said in a matter of fact tone. "No, she isn't. She was kidnapped by witches before Marcel could bat an eye." Klaus informed her, still seething but beginning to calm down. Shock spread across the blonde witch's face. "What witches? Who took her?" She asked, fearing for her baby sister's safety. "I don't know. I was sure you were behind it." He mumbled, realizing Freya was innocent and was just as worried as he was. "You silly suspicions will never end, will they?" Freya sighed, as she turned away and walked back to her table of enchantments. Klaus stared after her but remained silent.

She cut a lock of her hair and slit open her palm, lighting the candles around her with her magic. She began to chant, searching for Rebekah. All she saw was darkness and a cold shiver ran down her spine. "What's going on? What's happened to Rebekah?" Klaus demanded when he saw the look on Freya's face. "She's gone. I can't find her, all I felt was darkness." Freya said, her eyes watering. She was sure Rebekah was dead. Klaus wore a fearful expression. "What are you saying?" He asked slowly. Freya looked down at her boot clad feet. "I'm saying I'm sure our sister is dead." Freya answered. "No. We cannot die." Klaus snapped, shaking his head in denial.

Freya stayed behind, a new idea popping into her pretty blonde head. She wasn't going to look for her sister's essence, she was going to find out who's body she was in and search for the essence of the body's true owner. As Klaus had said, they could not die and if the body had died Rebekah's spirit would have returned to her original body. "She must be trapped." Freya mumbled to herself as she grabbed her spellbook, a few candles, a map, and a small knife. She hurried out of the door and into the French Quarter.

The French Quarter

Stefan and Elena breathed a sigh of relief when they reached the French Quarter. They'd been driving nearly all day and were ready to find Caroline and hopefully a nice hotel. "We should check in over there." Stefan said, pointing to a hotel called The Grand La Beau. "No, we have to find Caroline." Elena said, shaking her head in disbelief. "How about we slip up. You look for Caroline and I'll get the hotel. It'll only take a few minutes, Elena and we'll have somewhere to bring Caroline so we can keep her away from Klaus." Stefan explained. "Fine." Elena agreed even though she didn't want to be alone when she found Caroline. She knew there was no way she'd be able to talk Caroline out of staying in New Orleans without Stefan's help.

Stefan nodded and disappeared in a flash, stepping inside the hotel before Elena could bat an eye. The stunning brunette snorted and rolled her eyes before vamping off in a different direction. Stefan managed to compel a free four-night stay in the hotel's presidential suite within a few minutes without any tourists interrupting him. After collecting the room keys, Stefan noticed a pair of teenagers staring at him. He focused his hearing on them and recognized the words "vampire" and "compulsion" before they noticed him listening.

In a flash, the teenagers eyes flashed a brilliant gold and they raced away, faster than any human could see. Curious and nervous about them, Stefan followed them. He was amazed by their speed, werewolves weren't nearly as fast as vampires outside of a full moon. He followed them to the outskirts of the French Quarter but froze in his footsteps when he heard a familiar voice calling his name. "Stefan?" He turned to see Hayley, the werewolf who'd betrayed Tyler back in Mystic Falls, approaching him quickly. "Hayley? What are you doing here?" He asked, surprised to see her.
