Miraculous Ladybug And Cat Noir Fanfiction (OC Story)

Four:

"I don't know, Serine! Also, that class was boring! There's cuter guys in my class!" I said, tapping my pencil on my new sketchpad. I was arguing with Serine about switching my schedule back to my old one.

"You weren't at my birthday yesterday, Sonya!" She yelled angrily.

"Oops. That was yesterday...?" I said quietly.

"Yes! And I was bragging about you to my sister, but you never showed up!" Her voice lowered. "I'll talk to you later... I gotta go."

"Serine!" I shout, just before she cuts off. Yesterday I was busy helping Ladybug and Cat lift a building off of civilians that a cursed person had destroyed. I totally forgot about her in the past 3 days, so I forgot her birthday.

I shove the sketchbook into my bag and left for school. I lived not far away from there, just a few blocks, really. I hadn't bothered wearing a jacket, either, and it was freezing.

"Sonya."

I looked back and saw Serine. I ran up to her.

"Serine! I'm really sorry, I had something to do yesterday. I totally spaced, with the change of schedules and the piles of homework, and having practice the violin... everything was just a clutter of events." I explain quickly.

"Please, Sonya, just switch classes! At the very least, please...! I miss you, and it feels a tad lonely." Serine said sadly.

"I can't." I say, feeling pained.

"But...! You... you even said it yourself! My class is boring without you! It's... not the same!" She said, eyes brimming with tears.

"I have to do something."

She looked at me. "What is it? I'll help you."

"It's a secret..."

"You can tell me! I'm your beets friend."

I opened my mouth slightly, but the words didn't come out.

"Right?"

The words still didn't come out. Now Serine was crying.

"Right? Right? Please tell me... please...!"

"I already told you! Stop INSISTING!" I shout, a little too loud.

She looked at me, hurt. I looked down, shamed of myself.

"Just. Stop."

I rush into the school, leaving Serine speechless.
