Ivana found herself and her father being embraced by her brothers. She felt weak and suffocated. Black spots appearing in front of her as her knees buckled. Then darkness surrounded her.

Khalil felt Ivana drop to the ground. She grab her by her waist as he saw her lose consciousness. Then he felt warm liquid oozing from her shoulder. When he turn her around, he found her shirt bloodied from a gunshot wound.

'Goddamn it! She was shot! We need the ambulance. NOW!' Khalil shouted.

The brothers scram around her but was pushed back by the emergency response team. They put her on stretcher right away and get into the ambulance. Khalil got inside with her as the ambulance sped up to the hospital.

'What happened?' Director Rurik questioned Pietro.

'I heard 2 gun shots before my daughter got to me. She said she shot Svetlana as self-defense. I didn't realize she was shot. She didn't appear to be hurting. Boys, follow them to the hospital. I will be there later.'

'Don't worry, dad, our princess is a fighter. She will live. We'll call you as soon as we get there.'

'I'll come with you.' Lucca stated as they move towards their cars.

Hermes and Arthur rode with him while Loki, Fenrir and Orpheus rode with Odin. When the cars are gone, Dmitri, Rurik and Pietro looked back at Svetlana's corpse with the guns and the trigger device beside it.

'She did it as self-defense. There is no need to worry. This case is closed now.' Rurik stated as he pat Pietro's shoulders to calm him down.

'But she was hurt because of Svetlana.' Pietro agonizingly said.

'Your daughter is a fighter. She will survive, Pietro.' Rurik answered.

'She better be or else I will have a dead son.' Dmitri stated.

'Curiosity aside, how did she do this?' Rurik asked as they look at Svetlana's dead body.

'Ivana is skilled in martial arts since childhood. I had my children taught with different martial arts for them to be able to defend themselves. My youngest is one of the best next to Odin and Orpheus.' He told them.

'Then trust her. Your sons tell the truth. Ivana is a strong girl.'

'Let's go to the hospital. My men will clean this up. They had deactivated the bombs. We will talk about this later, Pietro. For now, we need to make sure your daughter is safe.'

'Thank you Dima and Rurik.'

The older men rode on the military van and went directly to the hospital.

5 hours later when the surgery was finished and Ivana was taken to the ICU. The doctor who is also the Orlov family doctor went to the waiting area to inform the family.

'Ulrich, how's my daughter?'

'She is stable now. We lost her twice on the operating table due to loss of blood but she fought back. Your daughter is strong. Do not worry now.'

'Can we see her?'

'We need to observe her first. You can see her in an hour. I will come get you once it is okay.'

'Thank you.'

Dr. Ulrich left to check on other patients. The brothers and Pietro sat back with relief in their faces. Lucca felt relieved as well knowing that Ivana is safe. His father and Rurik left to check back the crime scene as well as see the autopsy report. Pietro's phone buzzed minutes ago. Edouard called asking details about what just took place but Pietro told him to keep things quiet for now. They will release a statement once everything is settled.
