I heard a door open and looked back to see Jeremy with an ice pack. “Hey champ… I came to give you an ice pack for your hand.” I chuckled and said, “I’m fine. You should go check on Hillary.” He sat next to me and said, “Her friends are cleaning her up,” He nudged me and said, “You broke her nose.” I grabbed the ice pack and said, “I did?” “Yeah, when you slugged her it broke.” I laughed and he stared at me. “You know Lola you’re not that same girl from Georgia anymore. You’re different.” We sat on the terrace for a few more minutes then went back in. Everyone stared at me, and then started applauding me, even patting me on the back. A girl with black hair in a yellow dress came up to me and said, “You’re pretty cool Lola, no one liked Hillary. Glad you put her in her place.”
They started handing me drinks and talking to me. I even did a couple keg stands. I got wasted and had a great time. Jeremy got wasted too and picked me up. “You know you are so beautiful… and I want to kiss you.” He kissed me and we fell onto the couch. He got up and danced with me. We danced hand in hand, twirling in circles and doing the robot. He threw me over his shoulder and brought me to his room. We stripped down into our underwear and got under the covers. We made out, but were too giggly to actually do anything serious. He held me and soon we drifted off to sleep.

I woke up in Jeremy’s arms. He was holding me close. I stroked his cheek and he soon woke up. “Hey Lola,” he said while stretching, “That was a fun party.” We got up and put on our clothes. I thought we didn’t make such a big mess, but when we walked out of his room, I was so wrong. “Oh my god,” I said while looking around. There were red cups everywhere, food all over the place, beer and cigarettes everywhere, and furniture moved. “God I’m so dead,” Jeremy said walking around. I put my arms around him and said, “No problem, I’ll help you clean up. When do your parents get back?” He sat on the couch and said, “I think four hours.” “Well come on, this house won’t clean itself.” I picked up the cups and food, while he cleaned up the beer and cigarettes. Luckily he had a garbage shoot so, we wouldn’t have to go downstairs. We fixed the furniture sprayed, some air freshener to get rid of the smell, and laid on the couch. We heard them find the keys and we jumped on the couch, turning on the TV, pretending to be asleep.
I heard the door open and Jeremy’s parents suitcases roll as they walked in. “Told you Carolyn,” Mr. Richards said, “He didn’t throw a party. He knows better.” I felt their eyes on us. I pinched him to know when to pretend to wake up. I opened my eyes to see Mr. and Mrs. Richards looking me surprised. I jumped up and said, “Hi Mr. and Mrs. Richards. I’m Lola.” Mr. Richards took a step forward and said, “Oh I remember you Lola. Jeremy here is always talking about you when we were moving. Glad to see you again.” I always liked Mr. Richards he was always nice to me. Mrs. Richards she kept her distance. I don’t know why she doesn’t like me. She cleared her throat and said, “Lola… what are you doing here? I mean in New York and in our house?” Mr. Richards gave her a look and I said, “Well I can tell when I’m not wanted. It was nice seeing you again Mr. Richards. Mrs. Richards it’s always unpleasant to see you and hear your voice again.” She gave me a mean look and stepped forward about to do something, until Mr. Richards stopped her. I grabbed my phone and walked towards the door. “Lola you don’t have to go,” Jeremy said trying to stop me. I opened the door and said, “No, I don’t want to stay.” I slammed the door behind me and took the elevator down to the lobby. I banged my head against the elevator wall. I hate Mrs. Richards. She’s a bitch, she never liked me.
I took the subway, and walked home. I opened the door and yelled, “Dad I’m home.” I looked in the kitchen and there was another note. Got called in again. What would they do without me? Be back at 3pm. –Dad I ordered a pizza, and watched a movie on Netflix. I left dad a couple of slices and went upstairs to take a shower. I stepped out and wiped the steam off the mirror. I had a killer headache. After I brushed my teeth, I went downstairs to get a glass of water. I took the aspirin and went back upstairs to change into plaid boxers and a loose grey sweater. I planned on staying inside today.
