I went to bed after that interesting afternoon. I didn't speak to my dad at all after what I saw because I didn't know what I would say. "oh I realized that you actually care about me" aha no. But now I need to confront him, or else it will haunt me forever. So I went down stairs and see him on the couch watching television with a beer in his hand already. Its 12 in the god damn afternoon. But anyways, I walk over to the couch beside him and sit down. I just sit there awkwardly for a good ten minutes until he finally says "what the hell do you want?" I frown and take a breath so I can try and relax, I was shaking like a Chihuahua. "Well last night when you went into my room, I kind of hid in my closet because you sounded really mad. But I saw your meltdown and didn't know what to do" I said with a crack in my voice when I said "meltdown". "You mean that you saw all of that and still sat in your closet and didn't do anything" he said with anger in his voice, but I could tell he was embarrassed. "What was I suppose to do?" I said confused. "I thought I taught you better manners then that" he said. I gave him a confused look. He grabbed my arm with such a strong voice I screamed a little bit. He lifted me up off of the couch and screamed in my face " You don't just let someone sit there and be upset, you help them, come on Sophie dear, I raised you better than that" he smiled, but it wasn't a happy smile it was more of a grin, I could tell he was going to do something I wouldn't like. All of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my left eye and I was down on the ground. He hit me in the face! He has never done that, he has hit me in the arm and thrown me around. But never has he hit me in the face. I touched my cheek bones gently and instantly winced. It hurt really badly. I just looked up at him in shock. He looked at his fist which was still clenched. Then he looked down at me and walked away into the kitchen, I just sat on the floor still stunned not saying a word. I could hear him go into the fridge and grab another beer and chug it back. I sat there for at least 15 minutes still on the floor just listening to him chug back beers. I finally had enough and got up. I went into my room and looked in the mirror. I had a huge bruise under my eye, it was definitely a shiner. I took all  the cover up I had and spent 10 minutes covering it up until you couldn't see a single sign of a black eye. I grabbed a sweater and my phone and ran out the door. I went to the park, no one would be there. But no of course I walked up to the park and of course why wouldn't he be hear. Kyle Flint, Shit. I try and secretly walk over to the swings. He is sitting under a tree just texting away. I know right when he I say anything to him he is going to know something is wrong. I sit on the swing I look down and begin to swing. Out of no where there is a pair of shoes where I am looking. I look up and of course its him, Kyle. I panic in my head but keep it cool on the outside. He sits on the swing next to me and starts to swing. "so come here often" he says while winking. I roll my eyes and continue swinging. "well then" he says with an attitude. We start to swing and we are going in sync. "oh look we are destined to get married just like the myth says, when two people swing in sync it means they will get married" he says smirking at me. I roll my eyes, stop swinging, and start walking to the trees. I am so stressed that I cant handle him right now. I sit down with my back to a tree, I put my hood on and start to cry, I just cant take this anymore. Shit my makeup is going to come off. Then I feel someone sit next to me, its Kyle. I try to hide my face but he grabs my face and looks into my eyes " are you o.... SOPHIE did somebody hit you in the face?" I just look at him not knowing what to say.
