Author Note: Hey thanks to the few people who have voted and added Rebel to their reading lists! That makes me feel so super awesome! I hope you're enjoying the dynamic of Russell and Lilly. After I wrote them into Torn, I just had to elaborate on them! Anyhow, hope you guys like the story! - C.

When we reached the woods, Russell shifted first. His large wolf was grey and dark brown with his beautiful grey eyes. I followed, my dusty blonde wolf was smaller beside him. After marking me, he was able to use the mind-link with me. It was odd.

Your wolf is beautiful. His raspy voice rang through my mind. Our wolves leaned on each other, rubbing their heads together gently.

They really love each other, huh? I said into his mind.

Of course! He replied with a light laugh.

We ran through the territory together, just the inner woods and mountains. Eventually I could hear waves crashing in the distance. We were near the edge of the territory. Russell's wolf settled down at the edge of the river that eventually led to the sea. Large trees covered us, besides crickets, there was no sound. I appreciated Eastern River's territory. It was beautiful.

He shifted back shamelessly back to his naked self. I came up behind him admiring the lean muscle in his shoulders. I had grabbed his shirt in my mouth on the way out, and I shifted back behind him and threw on his shirt. It covered the important things.

I sat beside him on the riverbank, taking in his sweet scent. His dark hair fell in his eyes as he stared into the clear water. I tried to avoid looking at him too much, not that I hadn't seen a naked man before.

"What?" He said, looking at me, "Taking it in?" He winked at me with that gorgeous smile. I reached out and shoved him as I looked away, attempting to hide the heat rising to my face. He laughed lightly,

"I'm just joking with you."

"I know," I said, and I let a little laugh slip.

"I know you've got some fun in you somewhere," he leaned forward to meet my eyes.

"Oh?" I challenged, "There's a lot you don't know about me. I can be a lot of fun, but you wouldn't like it."

"Why not?" He asked.

"You're too serious," I told him.

"I am??" He asked incredulously.

"That's what the rumors are!" I said, smiling slyly.

"I may act differently with my mate, you know?" He leaned into me a little.

"Prove it," I challenged. He did.

All of the sudden, Russell shoved me into the river. I gasped when I hit the chilly water. I came to the surface and gasped. He was laughing really hard and I grabbed his foot and dragged him off of the riverbank and into the water.

We gripped each other's arms as we laughed and stood in the water. The shirt i was wearing was now pressed against me. I did my best to stay in the water to my neck. His bright smile made my wolf feel so happy I couldn't help but feel overjoyed. I grabbed his shoulders and suddenly pressed my lips against his. Startled, I felt his hands find their way to my waist. His lips were hot against mine.

Russell moved one hand up to the mark on my neck, causing electricity to run down my spine. I made a daring move and ran along his bottom lip with my tongue and he gripped me harder. He broke our kiss and moved his lips to my ear,

"You just made a move on me." I laughed as I pulled his lips back to mine, feeling the stubble on his jaw with my fingertips. After a few more moments he suggested we head back, and I agreed. We shifted for the run back, and then climbed back up the side of the house to the bedroom.
