Rin jumped the stairs down as she followed the sweet scent of food to the kitchen. She smells orange cake! Her nose is even better than the one from the dog when oranges are in them. She could litterly smell them from 100 feet away. But, she is known that she can do anything if she puts effort in it.
She hopped down very quickly as she rushed to the kitchen. Immediately when she opened the door to it, the sweet scent of oranges filled her mouth. Some kind of liquid escaped at the corner of her mouth as she totally lost control of herself en launched herself to the oranges. But before she could reach them two arms pulled her into a hug from behind and sqeezed almost all the life out of her. If Rin didn't have to deal with dead-hugs daily. She would have already died many and I mean MANY times. But there is no garanty that she has that many lives.
'Rin, congrats with winning the singing competition in town! You should do this more!' said a more mature voice to her. A voice she knew the best out of all the voices: Lily, her mom. She must admit, she really did damn good at that competition and should have this cake as fast as possible! She struggled out of her mom grasp as she ran like a starving monkey to her favourite food.
But, where is Len? He was always by her side, now he is gone. She feels kinda... let's say... empty. To be honest, she knew for sure that Len would have won the competition if he didn't drop out of it. Why he did drop out? Well, that is a mystery to the girl.
She grabbed a knife from the cabinet, not even bothering if it's even the good knife as she send it straight to her beloved cake. But she stopped right in front if it. She felt like something, or rather, someone is missing. Without him, it's no fun. It's no fun to have victory or something else without him. Why must her life be so complicated! Like seriously, why can't she even slice a cake without him?! But deep burried in her heart she knew it already.
'Rin? What's wrong? Did I make it wrong?' Lily asked uncertaint, guilt slipping through her eyes. Lily didn't wanted that her daughter was forced to eat her cake if she didn't want to. She was always like that, doing things just to please her mother.
Rin shook her head, she stared at the cake as she whiped her drool alway with her sleeve. She herself also didn't know what's wrong, she just wanted to thrown this cake into her mouth slowly enjoying it's taste.
'Nothing is wrong mom, I was just wondering where Len is. It would be more fun with him...' she said, her head looking down. She just hoped that she didn't offended her own darling mother, but instead Lily showed a pleased smirk.
'Of course it's less fun without him. But he is really sick, he got the flu really badly. You can go visit him with the cake if you want.' Lily always said it in this kind of way, making Rin thinking even more about him. She just thinks that her daughter in live is just adorable!
'Thanks mom!' Rin thanked, she ran out of the kitchen. Puts her gloves, scarf, jacket and boots on. She didn't think, she just did it. It was always like this when it came with her and Len. Always if she goes to Len, she was always on automatic pilot. Never thinking about her action, that often caused her trouble.
'Go Rin and get you a boyfriend!!!' Lily cheered for her daughter as she saw her almost opening the door. 'Mom! I am NOT in love with him!' Rin argued back as she opened the door and slammed it harshly behind her. Leaving her smirking mother.
What Rin just told her mother, was a half-true. She wasn't just in love with him, but she was MADLY in love with him. She didn't know when it started. Was it when she bullied him back in elementary school? Or was it later when he forgave her? Was it when he first came to her house? Or the day that he stayed with her to keep her company? She didn't know... She just didn't know.
