Prologue

Ashley's POV

My name is Ashley Tomlinson.

My friends would call me Ash if I had any.

I'm Louis Tomlinson's sister.

It's hard but it's fun.

The boys are soooo funny!

I'm 17 years old and I have brown hair and blue eyes like Louis.

I lived with my stepfather before I met Louis.

To tell you the truth I hate my step dad he's mean, always drunk and he takes all my money.

I have one little sister, her name is Avril but I call her Avy, she's 9. Avy has light brown hair and green eyes.

My stepfather, Drake, sometimes abuse me but never Avy if he tries I step in his way.

We try to do what Drake wants when he's drunk.

Our mum was with him but she moved away the day me and Avy were locked in the basement. She thought we wanted to stay so she left us.

One day I really couldn't take it.

"ASHLEY COME HERE!!" Drake yelled

He's drunk.

I didn't reply, just kept packing.

Avy was whimpering by my side packing her bag.

This time Drake crossed the line and hit Avy I was soo angry I grabbed a knife and cut his arm slightly.

I couldn't take it anymore, I'd decided to go see my long lost brother.

A few days back I got a call from my mum.

When I told her everything she was sad so she told me I have a brother, Louis Tomlinson. Mum told me the address to Louis's flat and I decided when Drake hit the last straw I was out.

I packed water, food, a toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.

We zipped up the bag and got ready to jump out the window.

It was a one floor house so we'll survive.

I broke the window before we packed.

I heard footsteps come toward the room.

"Jump Avy!" I yelled

She obeyed and jumped.

I looked around if I forgot anything.

Okay nothing.

I was ready to jump when Drake pulled my hair back.

I screamed and step on his foot.

He yelled out a few swears and let go.

I took the chance and jumped.

"AVY RUN!" I yelled and grabbed her wrist running at top speed

"ASHLEY!! AVRIL!!" I heard Drake yell

We run across the road, careful to not get hit.

Drake was on our tail.

I ran faster.

We're almost there.

My legs begged for me to stop but I didn't.

"I can't go more Ash." Avy whispered

I stopped and told her to hop on my back.

She did and I kept running.

I felt like my knees were going to buckle.

My vision blurred but I kept running.

I saw someone ahead.

As I reached the person I fell in exhaustion.

I never left that house, ever.

Drake didn't let me exercise so I'll admit I wasn't very athletic.

But I do it behind his back.

I saw black spots around my eyes

Someone was kneeling looking at me but I can't see who it was.

"Don't...hurt...Avril.."I managed to choke out before I fainted
