I open the door of Kian's car. A smile wipes across his face once he sees me. I get in, buckle my seatbelt and slap my hands on my knees.
"So where are we going?"
"First of all, you look beautiful-" He blushes, I can feel mine go red too.
"Second of all, it's a secret," Kian winks.
He looks amazing himself. His hair is spiked up. His red shorts match his white collard shirt perfectly. I smile.
"Shall we?" he says with his eyebrows raised.
I nod giving him approval. Why am I so comfortable? I am usually so timid around boys, especially if I never actually hung out with him.
"What is it with you?" I ask, regretting ever opening my mouth.
"Me?" He asks pointing to his chest, removing his eyes from the road for a split second.
"Yeah,"
"I don't know, is there something wrong?" he asks genuinely as we stop at a red light.
"I feel oddly comfortable around you, I'm usually scared to be with boys alone. I usually get made fun of right about now," I look down at the floor. " I'm sorry , I shouldn't have said anything."
He grabs my hand making me jump and causing our eyes to lock, "Don't ever apologize for the way you feel,"
I nod and don't let go of his hand. He plays with my fingers with one hand on the steering wheel.

~~~~~
"Where are we going!" I ask flinging my head back. I close my eyes. Imaging how terribly everything can go wrong.
"Here," he said letting go of my hand. He holds up his pointer finger, signaling me to wait. I turn to my right and see him opening the door.  When I step out I gasp.
"Did you-" He interrupts me.
"Yes,"
There was a picnic set up in the middle of a daisy field. it was breathtaking. The sun was at its peak, getting ready to go down. The sky lit up of many different colors. He ran to the bottom of the hill and I chased him. We both tumbled down it and landed upon each other. I lifted my head up. The same electricity that sparked with Cameron, sparked with Kian.
The worst day of my life, ended with the sweetest boy in my life.
~~~~~

"That was amazing, no one in my life has done anything like that!" I smiled sitting on the hood of his Corolla.
"I'm happy I got to do it for you." he smiles back at me. Locking our eyes, I felt a magnet between us. Drawing us closer and closer together.
Loud rumbling echoes through the field. I see a quad ripping through all the daisies.
I squint my eyes trying to make out who was on the quad.
"What a dick," Kian mumbles.
"Why? Who is he?" I ask not wanting to know the answer.
"Cameron Dallas."
My heart stopped. I struggle to breathe in air. Kian quickly notices and grabs my shoulders.
"Breathe Mal, in your nose out your mouth," he says calmly looking into my eyes.
"Your having a panic attack," he says slowly.
I heard the rumbling get louder. The next think I knew. Cameron was standing behind Kian. Lifting me up. Slowly, everything faded to darkness...
