Chapter 6

*RING RING RING!!*

I groan at the sound of my alarm going off at 8:00 a.m. I yawn and sit up on my bed and stretch. I tap the snooze on my alarm and stand up off my bed. I continue to stretch, until my mom walks in. She's already dressed.. "Hey, mommy!" I say, with my morning voice. "Hey loves, get ready. We're leaving in 10 minutes." She said as she walked out of my room. My eyes widened. I immediately scurried to my closet for a decent looking outfit. I took out some random clothes and shoes and placed it on the floor before running to my bathroom and doing my hair. I brush it out, and pick up my mascara. I put on just a little. I wasn't the type of girl to wear a bunch of make up. I quickly walk to my room, and strip myself to my undies and put on my shorts. Next was my gray shirt, and my black and white flannel. I slip on my black boots and pick up my phone. I run downstairs. "Hey, mom! I'm ready!" I say, taking a deep breath before exhaling. "Alright, let's go!" We both walk out the door, to the car. I open up the car door and sit in the passenger seat as my mom sits in the drivers seat. As my mom starts up the car, Best night ever by 5quad plays on the radio. I hum to the tune, while turning on my phone and texting Mark.

Your conversation with Mark :

You: good morning! I'm registering for school, so I was just wondering what school you went to? 😊

Mark: hey good morning lovely :) I go to UnionVille High School. what school are you going to?

My heart skipped a beat. Yes. YES. YESYESYESYESYESYEYDYD

You: omg! I'm going to that school too! 😆💖💖

Mark: YAAAAY LOL ☺️💖

You: um can I maybe hang out with you on the first day? 😅😁

Mark: of course! I was gonna ask you that anyway haha

You: yaaaay okay ☺️

Mark: wanna hang out today? Bryce and Weston left, but I just wanna spend time with you on our own, you know? Get to know you a bit more😊

You: where?

Mark: the mall maybe? We could catch lunch or something, and go shopping?

You: okay! I'll ask my mom to drop me off 😊 but which mall, and where is it?

Mark: Ross park mall. It's like to the right of the school. There will be a huge sign though, you'll see it from the school. 😉

You: okay! See you there💗

Mark: see you there babe💖 meet there at 9 , I'll be in front of the front door.

You: okay😊

*conversation ends*

As I look up from my phone, we're already parked outside of the school. "Stay in here, honey. It'll only take 5 minutes." My mom smiles at me as she walks into the front office, shutting the car door behind her.

*time skip*

My mom walks out of the front office into the car. I look up at her as she shuts the door. "Okay, sweetie. Your first day of school is tomorrow, Monday!" She smiles, as she starts up the car. "Wait, mom. Can I hang out with Mark at Ross Park mall? He wants us to meet him there like now. It's to the right of this school, and he said there will be a huge sign so we'll see the mall from here." I said, waiting for her answer. Please say yess. "Oh, okay! To the right, you said?" YAAASSS. "Yes, mom." I said, as she drove towards a huge mall. As she drove past the front door, I could see Mark standing there, on his phone. "Mom, can you stop right here? Mark is waiting for me right there." I said, with a chuckle. "See you later honey!" She smiled at me. Once I felt the car stop, I opened the car door, and walked out. "Hey, Mark!!" I called him, getting his attention. He looked up from his phone and smiled a bit. "Hey, (y/n)! You look pretty!" Mark said, giving me a hug. I hugged him back, breathing in his scent with a smile before pulling away. "Thanks. You look great, too.." I said, looking him up and down. "Thanks...you hungry?" Mark asked, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah.. Just a little." I said, rubbing my belly and hanging onto my purse. "Okay. Me too, wanna get some Starbucks?" Mark asked, wrapping his arm around my waist as we walked through the automatic doors. "Yeah! That sounds good." I said, as we continued to walk. When we reached Starbucks, Mark asked, "What do you want?" I replied by saying, "A chocolate frappe but I'll pay for myself." I said, smiling. "No. I'll get it for you babe. Wait on the table right here." Mark said, letting go of my waist and walking to the counter. I sat down on the table and thought to myself, "This is gonna be a good day.."
