The Show

Chapter 2 The Audition

My heart was racing, my blood was pumping and I was sweating like a pig. There were so many people there.
I felt small and lost, and that I didn't know where I was.
I got signed in and started practicing.
I went over the steps to the dance in my head and I mimed the words to my song.
People were getting called in, one by one.
Then it was finally my turn.
"Rhiannon, it's your turn to audition", said a smart dressed woman. I made my way into the studio.
They asked me to sing first, then to dance and last they gave me a script to read. I projected my voice as much as I could. I put as much effort as possible into the dance, and I tried to be the character Bethany.
They applauded me when I had finished. They were all smiling and nodding. Some were even whispering to each other. I think that was a good sign.
As I waited outside I saw some girls coming out crying! I guess it must of been pretty intense for them.
We were all called in and told to stand in a line. "You've all done great today and we thank you for coming to audition. We can tell you all put your best effort in. But now it's time to decide who shall be performing with us... Rhiannon please come forward. You shall be playing the part of Bethany!"
"Thank you!" I said professionally but inside I was screaming. " Nate, you shall be playing the part of Leo!"
That's when I saw him. He was so gorgeous! His smile made me melt inside. He waved at me, I just smiled back and I was blushing so much I looked like a tomato!
I have to kiss him several times in this play! I'm so nervous but excited.
