II - Team 9

Team Nine

With the 5 year long wait, the current eleven year old genin was excited for this day; because starting today she was finally considered a ninja. She remembered that just a few months ago she was playing ninja at the park with the other kids and now here she was, on her way to becoming one of the best ninjas Konoha ever had.

So strolling on the early busy streets of Konoha, people started greeting her as she simply passed-by. Most who stated their good mornings, shop owners who invited her to either eat or shop, and the few who even stopped for some small talk with the young female Sarutobi.

Being the granddaughter of the Hokage came with its privileges, and she would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy it, because after all she really do enjoy being the center of attention.

But that title also came with its drawbacks. One such thing is continuously being called honorable granddaughter by the grownup majority of the village, a thing which really irritated her. A second reason would be her being a member of the Sarutobi family, and on top of that a female since almost all active Sarutobi members, which are ninja, from her family tree are male, the only exception being her and her older cousin.

So to say the least, it was kind of difficult for her to stand out in terms of strength, and Emiko's sure that she's not the only female who suffered from the problem since only very few females succeed in becoming ninjas, and even few of those who become, usually aren't able to keep up with the men.

So all-in-all, a limited number of Kunoichis succeed with a life as a ninja. And in the end, those who don't turn out to be housewives, who take care of the family and house; but the heck, who said anything of her wanting to be some housewife.

Meanwhile, Emiko continued her walk-through the streets while making her way towards the Hokage's Tower, but through the way she unexpectedly bumped into no other then her little cousin who seemed overly excited to see her. And thus he decided to tag along, not stopping his barrage of questions which were pointed towards the dark-hair girl.

"Nee-san! You're a ninja now, that's so cool!" Konohamaru yelled, attracting unwanted attention from the bystanders around them. Emiko immediately afterwards took action and placed one hand over the younger boy's mouth

"No need for the whole village to know." the girl whispered to his ears, before slowly pushing him forwards until they were right under the tower.

"Nee-san you are just the coolest, I can't believe you're a ninja now. I'm exited!" he once again shouted while jumping up and down, showing to her that he really means it.

"Calm down little hopper, what is your mother feeding you this morning." Emiko spoke, placing her hands on the energetic boy's shoulder. But the boy didn't take the message and continued.

"How can I stay calm, you're a ninja now. You get to fight and go outside the walls." Konohamaru said as if it was the coolest thing in the world "You're so lucky, I wish I can become a ninja so I can show gramps and take his title as Hokage."

Hearing that Emiko couldn't help but smile, little Konohamaru thinking it's this easy becoming a hokage; how clueless he really is." Konohamaru why wait long when you can instead ambush grandpa right now and become hokage" she asked, trying hard not to laugh " I already have to go and give him these papers so why not plan your attack on the way up. He'll not suspect a thing, so what do you say?"
