Sensei's Test (Part 2)
"Only one of you will be able to pass"
These words were all that was needed to strike fear into the young Genins' hearts.
Because just when they thought they had cracked out their Sensei's plans and motives, they later find the false hopes that they were fed with, which they hadn't anticipate until it was too late.
The three didn't wish to believe what had just been said, was it even permitted for a team to consist of only two members; surely that was never heard of.
"Where did that come from, that can't be true!" Arashi was the first to snap, pointing his index fingers towards the elder female.
"Are you allowed to even do that?" Emiko later questioned.
"You better believe it; I have full authority as a Jounin Sensei, over whatever I feel needed." The female ninja satisfyingly smirked before continuing "Especially when it comes to assigning the team composition and members."
"But... why... I mean can you decide to suddenly do that." The female Sarutobi later asked, puzzled as to whether what their Sensei said was true. "I never heard of a team consisting of one genin and a sensei."
"You really are clueless, brat." The elder female commented while comfortably leaning on the tree "Tell me one thing you three? Do I look like I have the patience to teach and handle all three of you?"
"Isn't that your job." Arashi objected.
"Not entirely" Sensei laughed placing a hand on her mouth while looking devious. "My job is to pass my skills to the next generation, and as for how many and who I teach will depend entirely on the coming test."
Not enjoying what he just heard, Arashi decided to not stay silent and unleash what's in his mind " Bullshit! How is that fair to any of us!? We all worked hard to become Genin and now out of nowhere there is an assessment test and on top of that a damn battle royal where only the winner makes it in!"
"Life is not fair brat, my Sensei did the same to me so let me just do the same to you." the brunette woman stated as she causally played with a strand of her hair "And one more thing, it's not like I'm the first one to take this approach."
"Hey, you can't treat us this way, just because your Sensei used to act the same. You're an adult; you can't be serious about this." Emiko further protested, still not convinced about her sensei's methods. "And why are you so persistent on creating a team consisting of only you and another individual? Is it that special?"
The elder female, still leaning on the tree, didn't bother to directly reply and instead answered her question with another question "Am I supposed to answer that? My, isn't it clear?" she gleefully spoke.
Not understanding what she meant by her question, Emiko silently pondered for several seconds until her silent dark head male teammate decided to answer "She's looking for an apprentice."
"Huh?" Emiko confusedly glanced at Akira surprised by his sudden statement.
"What?" Arashi said, seeking more clarification.
Taking a deep breath, Akira shook his head not feeling like explaining "She's simply looking for the best between us, where she takes whoever it is in as her disciple and teaches them everything. And it's like she said it's something that's not unusual; the three legendary Sannin each took a disciple of their own under their wing."
