With my new pet hissing I couldn't hear if there were big, fast, footsteps coming from behind me.
"Oh, what did I get myself into!" I said while running.
My pet stopped hissing and it got silent. I stopped running. I looked around, nothing. No man with a red tie anywhere. Then I saw a bright light, and it was in the forest. "What? No that can't be light... Or maybe it is." I said shaking a little.
I walked over to where the light was shining and ended up in a cleared out circle space with trees as the rounded edges. In the middle was a statue. The statue had little spots of brown and moss growing on the sides of it. Under the moss and brown spots, the statue used to be white. The sun was shining on it, only that. No other place in the woods were lit with sunlight.
"Woah." I said in amaze.
I touched the statue. Nothing happened until I let go, the statue grabbed my wrist with its hand. I tried to pull my hand out but I couldn't, the statue's grip was to tight. I screamed for help and my pet was hissing again. Then, in the distance I heard big, loud, footsteps.
"AH, NO. IM GOING TO DIE ALONE IN THESE WOODS!" Suddenly, I heard a male voice say "Hello? Is anyone there? Do you need help?" I screamed loudly, "HELP ME, I AM WHERE THE ONLY SLIVER OF LIGHT IS SHINING!" As I'm trying to pull my hand out, the boy appears from out of the trees. The statue lets go of me and goes back to its original pose and there were no more loud footsteps. "Are you alright?" The boy asked. I replied nervously "Yea, I was just a little stuck. And if you wouldn't mind me asking, whats your name?" The boy replied in a shakey voice "J-Jake Landon. Whats your name?" I confidently answered back "Mackenzie Blue and I'm 14! What brought you to these woods?" Sounding more relaxed he said "Oh cool Im 14 also and-" I covered Jake's mouth with my hand and whispered into his ear saying "Dont say anything, dont move, I will tell you why later. We have to get to a safer spot." Why I did this, I heard very loud footsteps this time. Louder than ever. And I think Jake heard it too, his eye's were open wide like he was stunned. We started to run silently through the woods until we found a safe spot which was in a hallowed out tree. I showed him what I wrote the other night, especially about the 10 foot man with the red tie and the loud footsteps. He was amazed by what was in these woods and what I've encountered. My pet was glaring at Jake and made a little hiss at him. I grabbed it and pet it. It was much more calmer now and didn't glare at Jake anymore. I also told him about my best friend Cherry that i assumed got taken away from me by the 10 foot man with the red tie. I was happy I met Jake in the woods, he kept me company and I wasn't scared of falling asleep anymore. While we were going to get ready to go to bed, a little squirrel plopped onto Jake's head. We both laughed in unison and Jake took the squirrel and befriended it. Now he has his own pet like me and our pets are friends now! We went outside and played fetch with our pets then they stoped in fright and ran back into the tree. We looked at eachother and ran into the tree also. I got Cherry's hammer and gave it to Jake and I took mine. I whispered "When I say 3, jump out of the tree. Ok? 1..2....3!" We both jumped out at the same time, hammers ready, standing back to back, looking around, but we didnt see anything. We put our hammers down, confused. Then we heard a faint voice say " Help me Mackenzie, we need you."
