Chapter 1: Happy times.
Mythrill looked up at the gates of Riverwood, panting slightly from the run,
“Riverwood… It’s been too long.” She mumbled, a small smile dancing across her features.
“You’ve been here before? I’ve never seen a beautiful flower around here before.” She heard Ralof flirt, winking at her,
“Who would’ve known you were the one to flirt?” the Imperial soldier, Hadvar, huffed sarcastically. The young woman couldn’t help but laugh at that,
“Of course you wouldn’t, I was a young girl with big blue innocent eyes.” She sighed wistfully as she continued walking into Riverwood, taking in the familiar buildings, trees, roads, all of it.
“Well I better get going.” Ralof sighed dramatically, “Oh and kinswoman?”
“Mythrill.”
“Ah yes, my mistake, Mythrill?”
“Yes?”
“Come by for a drink before you leave, yeah?” Ralof gave her a look that would have made any girls knees go weak. By Talos this one’s persistent. Mythrill grinned,
“Sure, why not?”
“That’s the spirit!” he cheered, then catching her off guard he took her hand in his and brought it to his lips. “Don’t keep me waiting, yeah?” gently he pressed his lips against your knuckles, gave her a cheeky wink then left. Beside her she heard Hadvar sigh, letting all of his tension go,
“By Ysmir, I thought I’d have to pull you two apart.” He chuckled as he saw her red cheeks.
“Oh hush up!” she scowled,
“Hahaha sorry.” He smiled at her then flicked her forehead lightly, “Now I think you need a place to sleep, hm? Why not sleep at my uncle’s? If you go to the inn, that Stormcloak will be there…” He trailed off watching her eyes widen.
“Uh-huh, yep, sounds pretty damn good right now.” She nodded quickly, chuckling softly he walked towards the Blacksmith’s and stopped beside the forge. She felt herself think back to the day her mother took her to Riverwood. Talos knows why we came here though. Mother never told me why…
“This is the woman that helped me escape.” Hadvar’s voice pulled her out of her thoughts,
“Helped you?!” she scoffed, “I practically saved you!” she mocked grinning. The man before them was rumbling with laughter,
“Ahaha she’s hilarious Hadvar!” he sighs, turning serious. “They say a dragon attacked Helgen… Is that… Is that true kinswoman?”
“Yes, I watched as the thing burned the town to the ground.” She nodded grimly, as she tried to block out the memories of screams and the smell of burning flesh. Hadvar noticed this and gave his uncle a slight shake of the head, placing a comforting hand on the young woman’s shoulder.
“I think it’d be wise if you were to visit Jarl Bulgruuf in Whiterun.” Alvor said, “When you’re ready of course.” He added quickly. Mythrill thought about this and nodded her agreement,
“Sure, hm… I think I’ll leave two days’ time.” She mumbled. It’d give me enough time to prepare food, armour, weapons and coins for my trip.
“Then it’s settled! You may use my forge and anything in it, whenever you wish kinswoman and you may take whatever you need.”
Mythrill couldn’t help but smile at him; she hasn’t felt like this in years,
