"Mum. We gotta hurry up."

Henry said throwing his duffel into the boot of the jeep cherokee his mother used for trips like this. Said mother was currently sitting in the car planning their route on her sat nav, they were going to a popular camping spot, they had been many times so Henry wasn't quite sure why his mother still had to use the sat nav.

"Okay, can you get the water and snacks I packed for the ride, please love."

Henry closed the boot and went back into the house, allowing Regina to take a shaky breath.

She didn't need the sat nav, she just needed time to brace herself for the trip. Two whole days of Emma Swan....Mills. The brunette had not said that name for years and yet it still sent the same tingles through her body, tingles she quickly ignored.

"Here mum."

Henry put the bag into his mothers lap, who quickly put it onto the passenger seat. Henry then gave her the keys from the kitchen counter and rolled his eyes.

"I locked up. Sometimes you're in your own world."

Regina rolled her eyes this time, her son had this ability to make her feel like the child sometimes.

"Hop in then camper. We have to make a stop at Emma's to pick her up."

Henry smiled brightly and got into the back of the car, he hoped that this was the beginning to fixing his life.

"All set?"

Regina asked looking at him through the mirror, Henry nodded and Regina started up the engine and pulled out onto the road. Regina's heart beat picked up as they got closer to Emma's house.

"I thought she was meeting us there"

Henry said as he flipped through his phone.

"Yes but her car broke down yesterday and is in the shop."

Henry nodded in acknowledgement even though Regina could not see him. Henry looked up as they came to a stop, Emma smiled and knocked on his window, waving.

Henry waved back. Emma quickly threw her own duffel into the trunk and then got into the side next to Henry, after seeing the bag placed on the passenger seat.

"Hey buddy, thanks for inviting me."

Emma acknowledged Regina and then went back to Henry.

"What you playing?"

"Just this skateboard game."

Henry said withoug looking away from the screen.

"Do you skateboard alot?"

Emma asked, trying to avoid looking too much at Regina through the mirror.

"Yeah, that and scooter. Mum just approved the plans for a new park."

Emma smiled at that, the tough mayor caring for the kids.

Regina took a turn and they went off onto a bumpy path and then back onto road.

"We're still waiting on the price to get that part paved."

Regina said and Emma nodded.

"So... is the spot far?"

Emma asked, wanting to cut the silence.

"Just half an hour, Henry don't forget to eat the lunch I packed, there won't be any dinner till late."
