Avery's Point of view.

Standing in front of me is the girl who I thought was human, who was also my best friend.

"Alex? Is that you?" I asked  shocked to the girl in front of me.

"Of course, Now let me in so we can talk. I missed you so much" she said happily and squealed.

I moved aside to let her in the room and she took a sit down the bed. I joined her and sat Indian style next to her.

"Oh Avery, I missed you so much" Alex said and threw herself towards me, giving me a bone crushing hug.

"I missed you too." I said my voice muffled by her shirt.

A fee seconds later she pulled back and looked at me confusingly "So Avery, how did you get here?" she asked me.

"I run away from my father" I mumbled, as Alex knew everything about the abuse I received from my father, Her and my other friend, Julia were the only persons that knew about it.

"Oh god Avery, I'm so happy that you've finally decided to run away from that awful man." She said taking my hand and giving it a squeeze.

"Alex I thought you were human? But how could I smell that you're a werewolf now?" I asked her, curious about how before I couldn't detect that she's a werewolf before.

"Well I was late shifter. For some reason I shifted at my 18th birthday." She shrugged.

I gave her a small nod, my mind occupied with thoughts of my mate.

"Avery, what's wrong?" Alex asked me concurred, to which au gave her a small smile.

"Nothing, Alex everything us just overwhelming" I lied trying to drop to subject.
"Don't bullshit with me Avery, I can clearly see that something is bothering you" She said, the underlying hurt in her tone didn't go unnoticed by me.

"It's just I found my mate today he's the Alpha's son and..." As I was talking she cut me off.
"Oh my gosh Avery, Congratulations. That's amazing" She said happily, giving me another bone crushing hug but then pulled back quickly and looked at me confused. 

"And you're not happy because....?" She said trailing off.

"We haven't talked to each other yet. Plus he was the only that objected on my stay here. I'm trying to run from my father, and if he finds me then he'll destroy everything to get me back, and that means hurting my mate and this pack" I tried to explain to her.

"Damn it Avery, you're the Luna of this pack and we'll do anything to assure your safety. And your mate wouldn't let anyone touch you or harm you in anyway. And I sure as hell wouldn't let anyone hurt you. Not jut because your my Luna, but because your my best friend.
And before you say it, Yes I know what your dad's capable of, but This is the strongest pack in the world, I'm sure as hell that  we can beat your dad and his rouges off." Alex said angrily.

"Are you done with your speech?" I asked her with humor, which earned me a glare.

"Yes my speech is over. Some time I wonder how I'm even friends with you." She said and laughed loudly.

"I bet it was because of my looks, I always knew you had a thing for me" I joked back and winked her way.

"I have a mate now, so our romance is over" she said, her smile widening at the mention of her mate.

"Oh my god, what's his name? You gotta tell me everything" I screamed at her wanting to know more.

"Well his name is Luke and before you ask yes we're fully mated, And no I will not give you the details." She finished off.
I frowned at her when she said no to giving details.

"What's his rank? What rank were you before you met him?" I asked her.

"He is 3rd in command. And well I was rouge when we met, so I wasn't really ranked." She said the last part quietly

"You should meet him, you'll totally get along" she said happily.

"I'm gonna get going now. I'll see you later" she said and got off bed and gave me a hug.

I sit back down and started playing my game again.
After dying for the millionth time I glanced at the clock and was surprised to see that it was 11 PM.
I switched off the PlayStation and headed to bed, falling into a peaceful slumber.

Dylan's point of view.

After that talk with my dad I headed up stairs to talk with my mate.
As I was about to knock on her door I heard the sounds of people talking, Who would be talking with my Mate?.
I quickly covered up my scent so they can't smell me.

I used my enhanced hearing to spy on them, I heard two voices one of them was the beautiful voice of my mate and the other voice seemed really familiar.

I listened in closely on their conversation.
"I run away from my father" I heard my mate mumble quietly,
Why did she do that? There must be a reason for her to run away from her father.

I tried to listen to their conversation again but I couldn't Damn these rooms and their  soundproof walls.

What could they be talking about? Who is that girl that my mate was talking to and why did she sound so familiar?, I walk away from the room and head to mine.

The whole time thinking about the other girl in my mate's room. When I get to my room I realize who that voice belonged to. It belongs to my sister who was found a couple years ago by rouges. How could I have forgotten my own sister's voice?

But How does Avery know my sister, Alexandra?, but most importantly why were they talking about her father!, and why did she run away?
