Chris

I didn't sleep last night. At all. I was really bothered at the fact that Jasmine is going out with my brother tonight. I was surprised at the fact that my brother was even at the bowling alley. He never bowls. Actually, he never goes out with friends because he doesn't have any.

Well, that was a little mean. Maybe a few, but they're all lawyers. I don't even know where my little brother found his friends, they are all quite successful compared to him. Again, that was very mean of me. You can say I'm not very fond of my brother.

And I'm not fond of Jasmine either. It's just that- Jasmine already takes our little professional competition personally and if Jacob goes out with her and things didn't work out, well, she could take it out on me since I'm his brother. I'm tired of arguing with her, and her calling me an asshole.

All of this wasn't bothering me until a good friend of mine who's the manager at the bowling alley texted me and told me Jacob was there. Me, being the protective brother that I am, asked him to keep an eye on him. Just to be sure. Just to be on the safe side.

Sure enough, my friend overheard his conversation with Jasmine and I just knew I had to interfere. For purely selfish reasons, yes, but I know Jacob. Jacob doesn't care about girls' feelings- he just like the attention he gets and then moves on to the next if he gets bored.

"Hello? Earth to Chris?" Giselle was snapping her fingers in my face. I guess she slept over again in our apartment last night.

"What?" I said, grabbing the coffee pot and pouring myself a cup.

"What is up with you? You seem to be deep in thought." She commented while checking the bacon in the oven.

"I just have a lot in mind… about work." I lied. Giselle is Jasmine's friend. I could not afford to slip and tell her what I was really thinking.

"Good morning baby." Lucas came out of their room with a grin on his face and gave Giselle a kiss on the cheek.

"Good morning honey. Bacon's almost done." She said, hugging him.

"It's too early in the morning guys." I said, standing up and leaving them alone.

I have to do something. I grabbed my phone.

"Hello Martin?"

Jasmine

"There's nothing good to wear!" I said, panicking a little bit because in an hour Jacob will pick me up and I haven't taken a shower nor chosen an outfit yet.

"Will you calm down? Go take a shower and I'll handle this." Giselle said, still rummaging through my closet.

"Okay. Thank you!" I said, running over to hug her.

"Ew, you stink. Thank me later."

I took the fastest shower I have ever taken in my life. I went out only to find Giselle flipping through a magazine.

"Have you picked out anything yet?" I frantically asked her while heading straight to the closet.

"Calm down, Cinderella. I brought out your navy dress. Navy is your color, right?" She said, laying out the dress in the bed.

"Perfect. I could wear my flats with these right?"

"Which one? I hope you're thinking about the Tory Burch's." She said, hurrying over to my close to grab the pair of said flats.

"I was thinking the other one, but that looks better. Okay."

"Hurry up. We still have to do your face!" Giselle exclaimed.
