the Latin last chapter doesn't mean what I thought it meant, soooooo ignore it!!!

Jordan opened his eyes. He was standing in between Tom and James on a metal bridge over a deep stone chasm. The chasm was lit by what looked like little orbs of light in the air. Down in the chasm, Jordan saw Martha, showing a group of maybe twenty people how to fight with a bow and on the other side, a boy with light hair and farmer clothes showing people how to fight with a sword.

This is the training room," James said. "This is where new soldiers are taught to fight," he explained. The group marveled at the training room for another second, before James told them to move on. They walked down the long iron bridge into another room. Inside, Jordan was glad to not be suspended high off the ground. Next, James led them into another room.

This room's walls were covered in different maps of places. Some, Jordan recognized as Dagrun, others, like a map of a small desert town, were not familiar to him. On a table in the center of the room sat a large globe, surrounded by pencils and loose papers.

"This is the map room," James explained. "Here is where we ma out different locations we have seen,". Tucker walked over to the desert town map and studied it carefully. He raised an eyebrow.

"This town is in the desert. I thought that no one lived in the desert besides nomads," Tucker said. James shook his head.

"Normally no one chooses to live out in that barren wasteland, but someone decided to found a town called Urulu out there, and it's actually pretty successful," James explained. Tucker nodded slowly. James clapped his hands together. "Okay, moving on! Normally this room is really boring, but I thought I would show you anyway," he said, walking out the door and down a hallway rimming the chasm. Jordan felt his stomach tighten up. He gripped the hem of his shirt as he walked along the hall. He noticed Tucker also looked uneasy.

James lead them down the stone hall through another doorway. This one lead to what looked to be a long dormitory. About ten bunk beds on each side lined the walls. Plain white sheets stretched over the beds, neat like the military. This is just like the military, Jordan realized. Well, there had to be a reason for their exceptional fighting skills and army like look.

"This is one of the dormitories. Normally, this is where the soldiers sleep, but since you know Ianite, you may get something special," James said. We really didn't know Ianite, but if it looks like it. maybe everyone here won't treat us like kids, Jordan thought. James continued on with the tour.

                                                                                     *****

"So, what do you think of the complex?" Ianite asked after James had brought us back to the main hall.

"It was certainly impressive," Jordan admitted, though he certainly didn't want to. He really didn't trust the Enders, despite agreeing to join them. To be honest, he just joined because he was afraid of what they would do if he didn't.

"Yeah, it was kinda cool," Tom said, not wanting to admit he liked it either. Sonja and Tucker nodded in agreement. Ianite smiled a half hearted grin.

"Weel good, because from now on, this is your home," she said, her tone a little darker. Then, she just laughed like she heard the best joke in the world. "I'm just kidding," but something about her voice told Jordan and his friends that she wasn't. Ianite clapped her hands together. "Alright, you five can go to your rooms. Andor and Sonja, to the right. You boys to the left. You all have some clothes in there," she added, pointing either way for who was to go where. Andor and Sonja reluctantly walked down the right hallway, the boys walked down the other.

They climbed into the beds of the dormitory. It was slightly smaller than the one James had shown them, but the beds were bigger, and there were two bathrooms attached to either side. Tom rolled over and fell asleep almost instantly, but Tucker and Jordan stayed awake. They sat in silence for a minute before Tucker said something.

"Jordan, even thought we agreed to help them, do we need to trust them? I mean, something about Ianite seems... not right," he said, mirroring Jordan's thoughts.

"We shouldn't trust them, but we should still go along with what they say," Jordan said. Tucker nodded, laying down and quickly falling asleep. Jordan leaned back, thinking about what may have happened if Tom hadn't ran out from there hiding spot. But soon, he too succumbed to sleep.

Wow, long time no update, how y'all been? I know I've been alright. So sorry for the lack of updates. But I'm planning on sitting here, listening to Avenged Sevenfold, and updating all day. ~Ross
