"It became an incessant and never-ending desire to be with someone at whatever cost. It just filled my thoughts all day long."

 Jeffrey Dahmer

Darkness broken by screams of agony. Then, more darkness. Bliss awoke in the outskirts of London on the opposite side. Her face was sticky, and it burned as if split. She stumbled along dragging her scythe behind her. The moon seemed to mock her by lighting her path with dim light.

She cursed as she went, tripping every so often on small shrubs and other things that loitered the ground. He body ached, and her vision blurred. She shook her head once roughly, "Heal already!"

The shake of her head set her off balance and sent her tumbling forward in a dizzy mess. She was unable to catch herself, so she fell forward onto the dirt with a thud. Bliss remained there on the floor, blinking and unmoving. She let the cool air drape over her as she remained there silently watching the night covered surroundings.

She eventually propped herself up to find a small pond a few feet ahead of her. She crawled to the water's edge and peered into the reflection the glasslike water made. There was a bloody cut on her face. It stretched from her right cheek, over her nose, and curved over her left eye. The bloody path ending at her hairline.

The memory of what happened flashed through her head with searing pain. Images of her trying to run from the menacing tone from Sebastian's simple, "Yes, my Lord."

Only to be grabbed and dragged into the basement, where he through her roughly onto the floor. He had smiled down at her, "Now, now. I simply cannot have you leaving without obeying my master on his order to give you a clue."

She had dashed forward in attempts to pass him, but he only caught her and brought her crashing onto the stone floor. The air was knocked out of her, and, taking the opportunity, Sebastian sped forward and kicked her. Her body went flying across the room as if weightless, but her body never hit the floor. Sebastian caught her falling body by the neck and held her up in the air. He smiled at her, "I will enjoy this for all the extra trouble you have caused."

Bliss hung loosely in his hand and smiled, "You have quite interesting memories. I wonder what your master would think seeing them."

To top that off, she spat onto Sebastian's face. Sebastian's eyes seemed to glow, and the shadows cowered. His grip on her throat tightened as he took her and smashed her against the floor with all his force. "Time for your clue."

Her vision was hazed. She could see Sebastian's pail form over her and feel his weight holding her down, as he sat on her stomach. She could see his blurry form lean over her, and, then, she felt it. Pain. A scream broke through lips, but Sebastian was quick to cover her mouth with one of his gloved hands.

She writhed under him. The pain overwhelmed her. The skin of her face splitting as he cut into it. She could feel the cut of the object as it pierced her skin, and she could feel the skin around the wound flourish like an opening flower bud. The warmth of her blood felt sickening against her freezing skin.

Bliss's eyes shut as Sebastian cut over her left eye, but they did not open afterwards. Her screaming seized.

Bliss looked at her bloodied face in the reflection, blinking the memory away. She broke the surface of the water with her pail hands. She cupped the water and carefully washed the blood off. Bloody drops fell into the once crystal water and swirled like translucent red ribbons before disappearing.

She stared at her reflection once more after it was clean. She sighed and focused on her aching body and ignoring the wound on her face. After a while, she stood and retrieved her scythe. She looked up at the sky then at her distorted reflection in the scythe. She met her eyes in the reflection. Her eyes steady and focused, "I do not know what this means, but I will use it to find you."
