Liam was obviously nervous. University was a big step for him. Before he had left, the whole town threw a farewell party for him and yeah, maybe he did consider not leaving for a moment, but the only person who would have to know that is his dog Loki.
He looked around the new dorm room he would be staying in and took a deep breath. After helping him move in, his family all gave him one last round of hugs and kisses before leaving back to their quiet town of Wolverhampton. After they had shut the door, Liam realized that this would be the first time in his life that he would be away from his family for more than a couple of days.
He knows that things will be okay but being nervous is just a natural thing for him.
Right now, he's worried about who his room mate will be.
He hopes that they're nice. Their things are all settled in already and he knows that they're probably an upperclassmen from the text books that are stacked up on the desk across the room. They must really like English, he thinks from all of the literature books.
His father told him to become a lawyer, so that's what he is becoming.
In the midst of all of his thinking, the door swings open and he sits up quickly to see who it is.
The boy, Liam notices first, has bright blue eyes and fluffy hair. He's not that tall, curvy, and has a mischievous look on his face.
"So you're the bugger who fucked with the system, aye?" he cocks his eyebrows, crossing his arms and popping a hip out.
"Uh... W-What?" Liam's never met someone so out there and flamboyant and confident. He might be a bit scared if he must admit to it.
"Three years," the boy shakes his head while turning to his desk and starts to rummage around in the drawers. "Three years I get by without a room mate and finally, my senior year, I get stuck with a freshman," he sneers.
"Oh... I-I'm sorry. Maybe I could talk to someone-"
"Been there, done that, got a kick in the ass for it," he groans before turning back to him. "Just stay outta my way." The person clicks his tongue and stares at the drawer for a couple of more seconds before sighing and shaking his head.
"Do you need help?" Liam asks.
The man turns to him so quickly that Liam might've seen doubles. "I got rules," he tells him. "Listen to them and we'll have a nice year together." Liam nods quickly. "You stay outta my way, you eat what you buy, keep your things on your side, take your shoes off when you come in and if my boyfriend is over, you sleep in the hall. Got it?" he spits venomously. Liam nods his head sheepishly, eyes trained on the floor.
He knows he's taller than the guy, probably a lot stronger than him too, but there's something about those piercing blue eyes that could kill.
"Perfect," he says in a sweetening sick tone before storming out and leaving.
"My name's Liam," he whispers to himself. "Was nice to meet you..."

The first week of Uni takes a toll on Liam. He's had trouble finding all of his classes, he has no friends and to top it all off, his room mate is a bit of a jerk. He knows that maybe it's just a nasty case of senioritis or something like that but he still stays out of the way and follows the rules.
Liam tries his best though and smiles through it all. It's Friday and his first weekend and he wants to go out and apply for jobs.
He comes home from school that day to find a curly headed boy laying on his room mate's bed, whistling some tune. As soon as he shuts the door, the boy looks up and smiles.
