"where are we going?"

"shut up and just follow me."

jungkook pursed his lips. he was already starting to regret going with jimin.

"rude." he muttered but unfortunately jimin caught it.

"excuse me? you should be thankful i even invited you to come with me." he scoffed, "i usually don't hangout with my dad's patients."

jungkook frowned, "but i'm not one of your dad's patients. i'm not even sick in any way."

jimin chuckled, "you're really funny. we've arrived, by the way." he said as they stood in front of a house.

"where are we?" jungkook asked, eyeing the place.

"at my best friend's." jimin said, walking up to the doorstep with jungkook following from behind.

"and why are we here?" he asked again.

this time, jimin ignored him and rang the bell.

"i wanna go home." jungkook squeaked.

jimin looked at him in disbelief, "what did you say?"

"i said i want to go home. right now." he repeated, "mom's so gonna kill me."

jimin laughed, while jungkook could only frown.

"what's so funny?"

"dude, how old are you even?" jimin asked.

"18."

"then act your age!" jimin said, laughing again.

the front door opened, revealing a mint-haired guy only slightly taller than jimin.

"what now?" he asked, his voice husky from the short nap he obviously had. he was rubbing the sleep away from his eyes, and anybody could tell that he wasn't in his best mood.

"hey, yoongi!" jimin greeted him cheerfully, pulling him into a hug, while the latter could only groan in annoyance, trying his best to push him away.

yoongi grunted, "get off, jimin!"

jimin chuckled, finally letting go, "hey, this is the one i've been talking to you about. the psychotic one, remember?"

psychotic? what's so psychotic about me? jungkook thought.

yoongi glanced at jungkook, "he doesn't seem that bad. why did you bring him with you?"

"remember when i told you me and my family would be meeting them today? well i ditched them. and then he followed me cause he loves me so much." jimin uttered, looking at jungkook.

jungkook scoffed, "i never said i loved you."

"you di—" "so are you both just gonna stand there forever or?" yoongi cut jimin off.

"oh, right." jimin smiled sheepishly, stepping into his house with jungkook following him behind.

"where are your parents?" jimin asked, propping himself on the couch comfortably.

"they're out of the country again. as always." yoongi replied. "it's starting to feel like i live alone now."

"have a seat, jungkook. your legs are gonna break from standing too long." yoongi told jungkook. the latter nodded and sat beside jimin.

jimin groaned, moving further away from jungkook, "don't get anywhere near me."

"jimin, tea?" yoongi asked.

"no, thanks."

yoongi turned to look at jungkook, "tea?"

"no, i'm fin—"

"yoongi, someone like him doesn't need tea. why are you treating him so nicely?" jimin groaned.

yoongi rolled his eyes at the younger one, "don't be an asshole. he's still human."

jimin scoffed, "excuse me? why are you siding with him?"

jungkook had reached his limit, "actually, why are you so rude? did i do something wrong to you? no. then why are you treating me like this?"

there was a short moment of silence before yoongi spoke up.

"yeah, he's right. go easy on him." he coughed awkwardly.

jimin merely stared at jungkook while he stared back.

"sure, i guess." jimin said under his breath, looking down.

there was a short moment of silence.

"well, this is awkward. should we talk about something else?" yoongi asked in hopes to lighten up the atmosphere.

jimin looked up as he thought of something, "actually there's something i've been wanting to ask you." he turned to jungkook.

"perhaps do you know why your parents are so strict on you?"

jungkook sighed, "i have no idea. all i know is that— wait, i don't know if i'm allowed to say this."

"why? what's wrong?" yoongi questioned.

jungkook seemed to hesitate for a while before he admitted, "to be honest, i suffered from memory loss due to depression a year ago. i don't remember anything around that time frame after it happened."

"since then, my parents became really strict and they paid extra attention to my every actions. everything i did revolved around them. i think they're being a bit too overprotective." he shrugged.

jimin stared at him with a serious expression planted on his face, "what exactly were you depressed about?"

jungkook frowned, "i don't remember."

"were you never curious to know?" this time yoongi asked.

jungkook clicked his tongue, "not anymore. i thought hard about it a lot of times but i never got the answers i wanted. i've basically given up now."

"did you get it treated though?" yoongi asked again.

"i did, for a while. it wasn't effective so i stopped taking meds."

"plus, it's not like i forgot everything. maybe i was just stressed over simple things. i'm pretty sure nothing important happened during those times." jungkook explained.

"but what if something did happen?" jimin asked cautiously but jungkook simply laughed it off.

"it's all in the past. i don't really care about it anymore."

a/n:

i made a slight change in the story plot ever since i started the revamp. i guess the most crucial change is that we all previously knew jimin as someone who was EXTREMELY rude and wasn't acceptant of jungkook's condition but i decided to change his character up a bit so now he's pretty much more lenient. i hope with this revamp i don't confuse y'all :/
