"hey, jungkook? you told me at school you had a friend named taehyung, right?" daesom spoke up when the room was silent.

jimin and yoongi shifted their attention from their phones to her in surprise to the sudden mention of taehyung.

"yeah, why?" jungkook asked.

"i saw a picture frame of you and him downstairs. turns out he's a guy yoongi, jimin and i know. what a coincidence, huh?" she chuckled.

by this time, jimin and yoongi has started to to panic as jungkook looked confused.

"the three of you know him? i thought you two said you've never seen him before?"

jimin laughed nervously, "yeah, turns out we do know him after all, right yoongi?"

yoongi just kept silent and looked down, accepting the fact that they're both caught.

"you're keeping a secret from me. i know it. i'm not that dumb to at least not know that. what are you hiding from me?" jungkook stared deeply at the two boys who were looking at the ground nervously.

"guys? i don't understand anything?" daesom took the chance to speak up when none of the two were responding.

"we're not hiding anything from you, jungkook. don't you trust us? i thought we're friends." yoongi smiled, and for once he actually looked at jungkook in the eyes.

"don't expect me to trust those words. i want to trust you both so much, i'm so desperate to believe that there's nothing wrong with me but, i don't want to just ignore the fact that i know i'm problematic and act like i'm fine when i'm not." he finally said what he wanted, tears welling up in his eyes.

jimin scoffed and stood up furiously, "now i'm starting to think there's really something wrong with you. aren't friends supposed to trust each other? why don't you trust us? everytime we try to strike up a conversation you'd tell us off or ask us if you're problematic. it's like we never have a decent conversation at all. i'm so sick of it, honestly. now i get why you don't have any friends." he spat.

yoongi groaned and glared at jimin, "jimin, now's not the time for you to act like that." he said in a low and dangerous tone.

jimin stares at yoongi in disbelief and scoffed again, "really, yoongi?" you're siding with someone like him?" he pointed at jungkook. "fine, do whatever you want. don't even talk to me ever again."

he stomped out of the room in rage with daesom following soon after, looking stressed out.

yoongi could only sigh as he tapped on the younger boy's shoulder sympathetically, "i'm so sorry, jungkook. i really am."

jungkook finally let out all the tears he had been holding in as soon as yoongi left.

fiddling with his phone with his trembling hands, he dialed taehyung's number.

"taehyung?" he sobbed.

"jungkook, what's wrong? why are you crying?" taehhyung asked worriedly from the other line as soon as he heard his voice.

"can you please come here now? i really need your help." jungkook managed to croak out.

"w-where? your house?" jungkook hummed, harshly wiping his tears away.

"but— alright... i'll be there in 10."

little did he know taehyung wouldn't be there for him even when he needed him the most.

-

"jimin, what was that?! have you lost your mind?" daesom yelled, firmly holding onto jimin's wrist as he was walking too fast.

jimin harshly removed her grip on him with his other free hand, slightly hurting her in the process.

"no, i'm completely sane! you are the who's lost your mind! how could you tell him that we know taehyung?! you caused this mess! you ruined everything!" jimin pointed at her rudely.

daesom took a step back in shock at his sudden outrage, but quickly composed herself and looked at him dead in the eyes, "you're being too much, jimin. come talk to me only when you're ready to apologize."

jimin kicked the rock that was lying around in anger and messed up his hair, watching as his girlfriend turned her back on him.

"jimin, i hate to say this, but you really went out of the line this time. i'm really disappointed in you." yoongi sighed, looking at jimin who had thrown himself onto the floor.

he smiled bitterly, realizing what he had done, "i know. i messed up big time, didn't i?"

"yeah, you did. he's probably crying right now. god, i pity that poor boy."

"but what can i do? that seemed like the only choice i had to keep him from losing his trust on us." jimin sighed.

"yeah, sure. but that was still too much. you looked like you were the one who needed medical help instead of him."

jimin glared at him, "yoongi."

yoongi could only shrug, "what? i was telling the truth. you also lost your girlfriend as a bonus in the process."

-

daesom quietly sobbed as she dug her head inside her arms supported by the table.

"just like the saying, 'after rain there's a rainbow, after a storm there's calm, after the night there's a morning, and after an end there's a new beginning', everything will be okay, so don't worry."

she looked up to see taehyung sitting across her with two cups of ramyeon bought from the convenience store in front of them.

"i-i'm not crying." she swiftly wiped her tears away and accepted the cup of ramyeon from him.

"what happened?" taehyung asked cautiously, trying not to hurt her feelings.

"i don't know either. i got yelled at by my boyfriend just because i told jungkook that i know you— wait, are you and jungkook friends? i found a picture of you and him together at his house."

taehyung looked at her in confusion, slowly chewing the noodles inside his mouth, "jungkook? who's that?"

daesom shrugged, "a friend of mine. but i'm pretty sure the picture was you and him together. or did i see wrongly— yeah, i probably did."

taehyung gulped his noodles and frowned, "yeah, i'm sure you saw wrongly. i don't have a friend named jungkook. although that name sounds oddly familiar." he muttered the last sentence, so daesom didn't catch it.

"what did you say?"

taehyung looked at her, "huh? oh, nothing."

daesom smiled, "okay."
