Tori grinned broadly when she saw Louie leaning against a hot pink 2010 VW convertible beetle. Instead of the usual spokes on aluminum wheels, teddy bears were on them.
It had been a week since she laid down her terms on the table. Since then he had been visiting her everyday before or after he looked after his businesses. That Saturday morning she agreed to let him take her somewhere she hadn't been to before.
It was only five o' clock and he looked as fresh as the early morning. His hair was still wet from the shower, his eyes alive with merriment, his angular jaw was clean-shaven, the dimple on his cheek evident and she would bet her next painting he smelled as fresh as he looked. She couldn't decide whether she preferred this boyish look or the very masculine one he was sporting when she decided to play a little game of payback on him.
"Somebody woke up on the right side of the bed." Observed Louie, he smiled back at her. Oblivious to why she was grinning like a chesire cat. "I'd like to think it has something to do with seeing me this early."
"Nah. Nothing to do with you at all." He pretended to be hurt and clutched his chest, his face contorted in pain. His actions made her giggle.
"Nice wheels by the way. Although I didn't know you prefer stylish compact cars now. And in hot pink, no less!" She commented as she slipped inside the car. If she rembered correctly, his mom got him a Ford GT as a graduation present.
"Go ahead, laugh all you like. This is Ashley's, I sold my car and I'm just using this temporarily." He said defensively as he started the engine. He looked absolutely hilarious sitting there with his broad shoulders and long legs cramped in such a small car.
"I see, I thought you're not into muscle cars anymore." She joked.
"I'm not. At least not the ones that have 550 hp engines."
She turned in her seat to stare at him. She momentarily got distracted, he looked really good from any angle. It just wasn't fair. A lock of hair fell on his forehead when he turned to look at her. Her hand was itching to brush it back. But she manged to keep her hands on her lap.
"Since when?" She couldn't believe he would outgrow his love for cars with powerful engines. She remembered how ecstatic he sounded over the phone when his mother gave the keys to his new car. She was the first one he called and asked her to come with him to take it out for a spin.
"Since I almost ran over Mr. Jenkins." He replied, referring to their school principal.
"Oh," was all she said and then remembered their conversation the previous week. It was that incident and getting arrested for exhibition of speed that got his father so upset with him that the older Del Valle decided to send Louie to Manila right after the charge was dropped.
They talked for a long time and he also explained how people ended up thinking she was a bisexual who was into BDSM.
She had the first part figured out. Brooke made people think she was gay and then on one occasion she was seen making out with Louie.
According to the logic of her idiotic schoolmates Brooke made a mistake, she was actually a bi.
Louie told her how pissed he was with Wesley. His bestfriend, Gideon drove him to the airport and as much as he hated Wesley's presence he didn't have a choice when he tagged along with his older brother.
The asshole had a maggot in his head and thought that it was his business to know if Louie at least managed to sleep with her first before he was shipped off to Manila. Louie said he would have shoved the football the idiot was playing with in his mouth had he not been his bestfriend's brother. She still couldn't believe that a nice guy like Gideon would have an abhorrent brother like Wesley.
