There was eighty-two passengers, eight crew members but it resulted with no survivors, this was the after affect of the Ethiopian Airline Flight 409 crash and took place on January 25, 2010. The Ethiopian Airline Flight 409 was an international commercial flight schedules from Beirut to Addis Ababa that plunged into the mediterranean sea. Even though I wasn't directly in this event, it still affected me and my life very much.
After celebrating my sister birthday, I went on the computer to see what's going with the world, when I came across an article explaining the tragic of The Ethiopian Airline Flight 409. After being very curious, I decided to read the article. Now, you're asking how does this apply to my life in any shape, color, or form. Well because I read that article I now realized what I am really interested in and what I realized was that I am really into investigation with different topics. After reading the article and watching videos about how the investigations were going and how the conclusions were made if this was the pilot fault or if it was sabotage. The final report was that it seemed like the airline crew didn't follow ATC's instructions on departure and which later made them crash in the sea.
This is an very important event to me because it made me realize what I'm very interested in at a very young age. Everyday I would come home, hop on the computer and look at current news on different websites such as CNN, Fox news, USA Today, and NBC. Going on these websites everyday helped me caught up the currents issues in the world. Because of doing that when I was younger, I can really put myself in the news and go into detail of what is really going on with the issues, not just what the media covers and sees but what is really going on with the news and is it going to be an issue later in the future.
The ET409 Crash (Ethiopian Airline Flight 409) really showed the way for me because it allowed me to get deeper with not only the world but with national news. It paved the way for me to understand news and social media more than ever thought I would. It made me very involved and I'm glad that I read the article about the ET409 Crash.
