Dad pulled in front of a massive black iron gate, with St.Blakes entitled at the top. Surprisingly, there were no spikes at the top of the gate, nor anywhere else I could see. Behind the gates I could see students in the same uniform as me chatting, laughing and walking with each other. They all looked a bit older than me, and richer, posher, and spoilt. Next to the gate stood a middle aged man, who walked over to Dad's side of the car, signalling for Dad to open the window.
"You must be Mr. Moore. I'll open the gates for you, do you remember where to park?" He inquired. The man had midnight black hair and was deathly pale, his eyes were a pale blue, almost silver, and a had a kind smile, which was about the only kind looking thing on him. Standing beside the car he looked about 6"3 or so. He was a large build, with broad shoulders, but he wasn't fat but muscular, really muscular.
The gates opened and Dad drove through the gates, into the school courtyard. I guess Dad confirmed that he knew where to park. There were a few parking spaces near the main building. Once the car was parked Dad got out and fetched my suitcase, I followed him into the school.
My mouth hit the floor. Breathing in a sweet smell intoxicating my lungs with the luscious scent. Right in front of me was a large spiral staircase leading up to what I guessed as dorm rooms. Students were rushing down them gracefully, holding onto the banister. Some smiled at me, to be polite I smiled back, others glared, some even snickered at me. But its all part of the experience, I guess. Positive thoughts, think happy! I ordered myself. Well that was easier said than done.
We were met by the headteacher, who surprisingly was called Mr.Blake. He was probably late 30's or maybe early 40's, he had brown hair, combed to the side, green eyes, a straight nose, high cheekbones and thin lips. He smiled at us, the smile no where near reaching his eyes, which had dark circles underneath them. To be honest he looked exhausted and weary.
"Good morning, it's great to see you again Mr.Moore." He shook my dad's hand firmly, before looking at me.
"Good morning Summer, welcome to St.Blakes. I f you haven't already read my name tag, I'm Mr.Blake. It's a pleasure finally meet you." He held out his hand, which I grasped and shook once.
"Thank you Mr.Blake" I smiled up at him and realised he too was really tall, maybe 6"2. Is everyone round here giants or am I that small?
"If you'd like to follow me t my office, we can get you started." Dad, still carrying my bag, and I followed Mr.Blake t his office. He led us down gorgeous hallways, the walls filled with breathtaking pictures. They weren't any more students as we got closer to his office. Which is the complete opposite of my old school, there it seemed the closer you got to the Head's office, the more kids you see.
However, the room we stopped in front of, had one young boy stood in front of it, he looked familiar. I smiled when I realised it was the boy from the airplane, you know the really hot one. He smiled back at me, gazing into my eyes, forcing me to get lost in his deep blue, mesmerising eyes.
"This is Luke Cole, he is one of our top students and I have assigned him to you. He his your guide and you can ask him anything. He is in your year, and you will be attending some of the same classes." Luke held out his hand to me, which I took gracefully, and shook delicately.
"Hi Luke, I'm Summer." I smiled politely.
"I know, it's great to meet you." He chuckled, our hands came apart, but his gaze was still upon me. Mr.Blake gave Luke a nod, who then opened the door for us, and allowed us to enter the beautiful room. It was massive. On two walls were floor to ceiling bookshelves filled with hundreds of books. There was a mahogany desk in front of a large window, overlooking a massive field area, the grass outside was deep green and looked perfect. He sat behind the desk and gestured for us to take the seats opposite him. Luke stood behind me.
"I assume you have everything you will need. All I have to give you is a map, timetable, and key to your dorm. Of coarse you will be sharing, but you can meet your roommates later." He handed me all of those things, which I took gratefully.
"Although, lessons have already started you can go up to your Dorm and unpack, here at St.Blakes we want you to feel as comfortable as possible." He gave me a genuine smile before asking Luke to show me to my dorm. Well I guess it was time for yet another good-bye. I stood up and looked at my dad, who raised after me. I gave him a tight hug which he returned willingly.
"I can't believe I have to say goodbye already." He said to me, his sad eyes gazing down at me.
"Me neither." I agreed, then stepped out of his arms and turned to Luke, who was waiting patiently a few steps away from us. He smiled kindly to me, I returned a thankful smile back at him. I still hadn't got over the fact of how good looking he is, not to mention kind and friendly. Plus according to Mr.Blake, Luke was one of the most intelligent students throughout the school. We was the whole package.
"Luke, take Summer to her dorm, please." Ordered Mr.Blake in a polite manner. Luke nodded and looked back at me, I gave a firm nod and went to pick up my bag, that was on the floor.
"No it's okay, I've got it." Luke offered, walking over to me and picking up my luggage.
"Are you sure?" I asked, I didn't want to be a bother.
"Honest, its fine." He shot a dazzling smile at me and walked towards the door.
"Bye Dad."
"Bye Summer, I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too." And with that I left with Luke, leaving my Dad in Mr.Blake's office.
