Dancing under the stars

The days are bright and warm,
the nights have a beauty of their own
The stars shining so brilliantly,
like adorning a king's throne

If you see in the distance,
you'll see a dark silhouette
The image etched in your mind,
until you somehow forget

Two persons walking together,
their hands in hands held tight
A wonderful sight to behold,
till you eventually lose sight

They'll walk to a place unknown,
with no one to disturb the tranquillity
As the hold each other tight,
bound together by a strong fidelity

No soul to be seen around,
just two figures in the dark
Their feet moving rhythmically
along some unseen arc

Their hearts talked in whispers,
in the peace and quiet
Every moment so enchanting,
so elegant and so polite

Nobody saw them there,
nobody caught what their eyes said

A reserved magical moment it was,
when all the worried fled

It was once in a lifetime thing,
Yours and mine,only ours
As we spent love in each other's arms,
dancing under the stars...

Author's Note:

Okay,so I am know that I have lost the nice way I used to write and this poem, probably beautiful still seems a bit just "okay" to me but I would really like to post it here. I hardly write now and this is one of my recent tries.
