Involves some violence. Sorry if it offends anyone.
Becca's POV.
I stared at the wall. It was plain. Just like me I thought to myself. I scoffed and got back to my history work that the teacher had set before she left to go to the bathroom. We were learning about WW2. One of my favourite historical things to ever happen to the world in my opinion. As I was writing down my diary entry as a Jewish girl in a concentration camp I felt my phone buzz in the pocket of my jeans. I got my phone out and saw who the text was from. 'Liam' it flashed on my phone. I unlocked it and opened up the message.
'Hey Becca i was wondering if we could meet up for some coffee later on today, to ya know, get to know each other better maybe? L x'
I quickly replied back with a simple 'hey! sure I'd love to, I'll meet you at Starbucks after school' I pressed sent and got back to work.
As I was working I felt someone tap me on my shoulder. I looked behind and saw Mary-Anne. She was known as the school nerd and surprisingly knew all the gossip. She didn't have many friends but her cousin was Jason.
'You shouldn't be texting in class.' She spoke quietly, scared anyone would hear. I don't know why she whispered, I mean everyone else in the class was practically shouting at the top of there lungs.
'I'm not.' I shrugged and turned back around, only to have that same tap on my shoulder.
'You were. I saw you.'
'Big deal, you should be working.' I said, a small smirk on my face as I did. Mary-Anne's face went pale and she got back to doing her work. I turned around and carried on. I heard the door open and the whole class fell silent. I looked up and saw him. I heard whispers going around the classroom as he made his way over to me. I gulped not expecting to ever see him again. As he got closer and closer, the palms of my hands got sweatier and sweatier. I looked down at my work avoiding his gaze. I felt his soft fingers on my chin and had my head lifted up slightly so that i could look into his eyes.
'Becca,' He began, his accent intoxicating, sending shivers down my spine. 'You're coming with me.' He spoke darkly and sent a wink my way. I gulped and nodded my head, packing up my things and heading out the classroom with him. I shut the door quietly behind me and followed him as we walked away from the classroom.
'Have you been avoiding me? Since we, you know, kissed?' Harry asked.
'Of course not!' I said and huffed. He sighed and nodded his head. Harry grabbed my hand and took me out of the school and toward his car. 'What are we doing?' I asked as I got in.
'We're running away.' Is all he said and drove off. My eyes widened, running away? With Harry? Why?
'Why?' I shouted. He flinched at how loud I was but I wasn't planing on lowering it.
'Its for the best. Just trust me.' He said in a calm voice. I recognised the road we were going down. It was the road where I live. When we pulled up beside my house I saw that my dads car was gone. 'Grab some clothes and essentials put them in a bag and come back. I'll be waiting in your kitchen.' I nodded and got out, when Harry wasn't looking I made a run for it. I ran, I ran as fast as my legs would go. I ran away from my house and into the woods. I knew the woods inside out. I pushed my legs to go faster.
I looked behind for a split second and saw no-one behind me. I carried on running, not wanting to risk it. I ran until I couldn't feel my legs. I slumped down, leaning against a tree behind me. I was out of breath. I looked around, not a single person in sight. I got up and started walking out of the woods west. I came from east. I was safe. Safe from Harry. He would've gone home by now or run away with someone else.
