Finn's POV:

After arriving back in Florida, Finn, like everyone, took the first full week off, which had been awarded to the roster for a new year's gift. He didn't do much, met his family, visited some locations around Orlando, worked out at home and played alone with his legos.

When he finally could return to his job, which was Monday the 11th, Finn started his day off with his typical morning routine.

He got out of bed nice and early at 7.00am, showered, ate his breakfast and left for his training half an hour later, all the while not thinking about anything which had happenned before, as he never dwelled on things of the past.

This was when the oddities started.

The first thing he noticed as he was arriving at the the Performance Center was that his parking spot, the spot reserved for the NXT champion, had been taken. Finn didn't know who the car could belong to. He didn't mind it though, as he found it strange that a champion should have his own spot in a predetermined sport, and he parked a few meters farther away.

As Finn entered the performace center, he had already forgotten about the previous occurence. ,,Ah, the smell of sweat and hard work. I'm home", Finn thought.

While signing in at the front desk and leaving to the locker rooms to change, he again noticed something curious. Every so often as he passed people, they immediately turned their head away and started whispering to another. He never was one to care about what others thought of him much, yet he still found it strange.

He then changed, stretched and went directly to the weights, as always perfectly on time at 8.30, not really focusing on anyone, as he was into his music and his workout.

What Finn didn't notice, was many of the NXT staff and roster glancing at him ever so shortly, with a wonderous look.

At 12.30, after a 4 hour morning workout, Finn was hot and sweaty, having just finished a particularly straining session. He had to hurry up to get showered, groomed and dressed, as he had a lunch reservation with Sami, Kevin and Neville in 15 minutes time. He put back the weights to where they belonged and sprinted to the changing rooms.

As he said goodbye to the coaches and clocked out for lunch, Finn was quick to notice another strange detail about a select few of his female coworkers. He saw Ashley trying to look professional, but her mouth hinted a small grin. He passed Bayley and Carmella as they were sitting on a crate eating together. When he greeted them, they both replied with a coy, ,,Hey there", which was very strange indeed for both of them. Thinking about how odd this morning had been, he ran to his car and drove to a local restaurant.

When he arrived, eight minutes late, his fellow companions were already waiting at their table, sipping on their drinks. ,,Always a prime example example of punctuality", Neville teased, while Finn glossed at the trio over the round table.

To his left was Kevin, Iced Tea in one hand, phone in the other. He was texting his wife, which Finn had always found remarkable, that this workhorse could keep a daily connection to the, and these were his words, ,,most important thing in his life". He was dressed in black sweatpants and a white hockey jersey, proudly showing off his heritage.

On his other side was Neville, reading in a sports magazine, probably catching up on the football (that's soccer for americans) results. Finn hadn't seen him around for a while, sincd he had mainly been buffering in the midcard on the main shows.

And finally, sitting with his hands folded directly opposite of him, was Sami. The mischievious Canadian known all around NXT for not only his amazing ring skills, but also his knack for trouble (which at one point had led to football being banned in WWE, a fact Neville did not like), was looking normally as ever at Finn himself.

,,Yeah, sorry about that", Finn responded. ,,But sometimes time just isn't on your side. So, what have you been doing", he asked.

,,Family", they all responded, having obviously had this conversation before. Most of their discourses contained short questions and answers.

,,Well, me too mostly", Finn added.

,,So how was your day?", Neville questioned, everyone now putting down what they were holding to get involved.

,,Oh, nothing much", Finn said reflexively. ,,Wait, actually there is something, how could I forget", he remembered. ,,Today has been the weirdest day, listen to this lads..."

And so Finn recounted the morning, from the strange glances and giggling, to the remarkable answers from friends and especially his parking spot.

,,And the strange thing is, it only was people I remember seeing at the new year's party", Finn realized as the waitress filled his glass with water. ,,How curious."

,,Yeah, that really is extraordinary", Sami agreed, sitting forward non-chalantly.

They sat there for half a minute, Finn thinking about before, not noticing the quick grins the others were giving themselves across the table.

,,So Finn, dear friend, speaking of this party", Sami questioned as Finn started to drink his water. ,,How is Becky in the sack?", the lean Canadian said calmly.

Finn was totally caught off guard. He choked on his water, coughing for ten seconds while his friends were going down in fits of laughter.

,,Aw, shite", Finn grunted.
