Coincidental ( Finn and Becky )

It's a new year, yes it is! (Chapter 7)

Finn's Pov:

For the next two weeks, Finn noticed, everyone who had been involved in their little group meeting was acting normal again. It was as if it had never happened.

,,The guys probably told everyone that I already know, which would take the fun out of it", Finn thought. ,,Still, I wonder if Rebecca knows anything more about it."

Sadly, they never got the chance to have a long talk, as every time they saw each other it was only for a few seconds, as Finn was working his ass off for NXT recordings and Becky was busy feuding with Charlotte heading towards the Royal Rumble.

,,Actually, no one ever seems quite as chatty on the Road to Wrestlemania", Apollo once said while him Finn and a few other NXT guys were waiting backstage at a taping.

,,You don't say", Sami said just as he arrived in the back. ,,It's the second most important Event in the year, also the greatest time to debut. Hell, even I'll be there."

,,Speaking of debuts", Finn started. ,,How about AJ appearing, you think he'll make the 'biggest crowd reactions' list?"

,,WHAT?!", Apollo screamed astounded. ,,AJ Styles is coming? How come I didn't know that?"

,,Shhhhh!", the other two whispered in unison. ,,You want the internet to go absolute apeshit about him, more than it already is?", Finn aggresively asked.

Indeed there had been a few turning heads during Apollo's uproar, who were eyeing the trio now, all hoping to catch a snippet of info off the three indie stars.

,,Ok, jeez, sorry", Apollo said, trying to act calmly toward onlookers. ,,It's just... Him. The Phenomenal One, Mr. TNA. I would't have thought in a million years that Vince would ever allow him onto WWE programming."

,,Yeah, it definitely shocked uswhen we found out", Sami answered. ,,I only sincerely hope that the crowd will react, and it won't just be made up of Roman Reigns marks."

,,Woah, woah, woah now Rami, watch your tongue", Finn said in a mockery of Vince's voice. ,,That kind of language doesn't make Roman look strong, you might get punished now."

They all laughed at that comment as they went to a break in the cafteria. Finn thought about how much unity and friendship there was in this promotion, more than anywhere else he had wrestled before.

While his two friends entered the cafeteria, Finn excused himself to go and wash his hands. They agreed and Finn turned left into the short corridor towards the toilets.

But as he was walking past a few doors, one of them to his left snapped open and he was pulled into the room by the scruff of his jacket.

While regaining his orientation, he noticed that he was in one of the large storage rooms used to keep disassembled.

Then, when looked up, he saw Becky. She was standing there, with normal street clothes and a backpack on the floor, bent over him, stammering away

,,Oh I'm so sorry Fergal, it's just that I really needed to talk to you about something important and I didn't want anyone to notice as they would tease us, and I know you're already very overworked , as am I, and you're still in your gear, and I just couldn't find the time to..."

Finn clasped his hand over her mouth. ,,Rebecca", he started slowly. ,,Relax, take a deep breath, think about what you're going to say, then start, okay?"

Becky responded with a short 'Mm-Hmph'. ,,Great", Finn said, removing his hand. ,,Now, what do you want to talk about first?"

,,Ok, umm, you know what happened when the rockets ended, right", Becky asked.

,,Kinda", Finn replied. ,,I just know that everyone got drunk of their arse, then a couple of guys and us went inside. That's all I know."

,,Oh no, you can't remember what happened then", Becky asked scaredily.

,,I told you, that's all I know."

,,Well that's just perfect.", Becky grunted. ,,Here goes. To make a long story short, we played truth or dare, I had to give you a lap dance, Leah recorded it and now Eric and Bill have the tape."

She had said the last part rapidly, taking Finn completely by surprise, not giving him enough time to digest this bombshell.

,,Wha... How...", he stuttered. After a few seconds he joked; ,,By god, we must have been gone by then not?"

They quickly chuckled but stopped after a while, realizing there were still open questions.

,,So, what'll we do now", Becky asked. ,,I mean, I've really tried to catch those guys and 'politely ask them' to hand that damn recording over, but they've been avoiding me. Oh Fergal, I just don't know what options we have."

As she said this last part, she laid the side of her head against his chest. This surprised Finn very much, and he didn't know how to react for a second, until he took her by the shoulders, held her out in front of him and said: ,,Rebecca, I know this might be too much for you to handle, with your whole title match at the Rumble, but listen to me: We'll do this together. Next thing we're doing is finding those two jokers and force them to hand the tape over. Our little adventure will be over, the damage to our persons will be minimized and we can walk away from this with our heads held high. So what do you say? Should we go catch those guys?"

,,Yes we shall", Becky strongly agreed. This little speech had given her the courage to carry on.

,,Great", Finn said. ,,But first, I think we should leave separately, as I don't think it would help the rumors if anyone saw us leaving an empty room together."

,,Yeah I don't think it would", Becky responded, also smiling. ,,So, uh, bye I guess."

,,Goodbye, my redheaded friend", Finn joked pompously, walking out of the door and heading to his friends.

When he arrived they asked what had taken him so long, and he responded: ,,Just a short conversation with myself lads. Just a little talk."
