The past week has been really rough. Maddie has been miserable and honestly, I don't blame her. She just found out that her boyfriend was cheating on her and she has been crying a lot and moping. Meanwhile, I've been over here comforting her and all the things that a best friend should do and thinking about the Caiden thing. He actually apologized and he hasn't bothered me all week
A- Hey
C- Sup
A- Can we meet at the park bench again, I need to talk to you
C- Sure, I'll be there in five mins
A-Kk see u then
Five minutes later, Caiden comes strolling into the park and I roll my eyes at how confident he looks. He sits next to me and we sit in silence for a few minutes but then I talk
"Why'd you do it? You could have just told the world. But why'd you help her?"
"Because as I have been saying, I'm not a bad guy Abby-"
"You say that yet you still use girls like they are trophies" I say and he chuckles
"Hey, I can't help it if they throw themselves at me I mean look at me. I've got the package deal, six pack, Carmel colored hair, blue eyes, dimples and so much more. You know this could all be yours someday?" He says slyly and I chuckle
"Umm how about never" I say and he smiles jeez he's got the perfect teeth too what is this guy a robot?
"So... You going to the frat house tonight for the party?" The frat house. There are three on campus but one is a sorority, they are the things I hate the most but there's a lot of drinks that I know will get Maddie's mind off of her ex so I smile
"Yes I am, well me and Maddie of course" I say and he smirks
"Well I'll look for you"
"Please don't" I spit back dryly and he laughs
"Your loyal to your friend, I like that. I have to go help Anthony set up for the party. I'll look for you later" he says while wiggling his eyebrows which causes him to get slapped
"Bye princess" he says while blowing a kiss and my face scrunched up
"Bye loser" I say back and he chuckles. We both go our separate ways, now the hard part will be convincing Maddie to come.
"Hey Mads, quick question. You wanna go to a party with me tonight?" I ask and she gives me an are- you- kidding- me look
"Come on, there will be lots of alcohol" I say in a persuasive matter and she laughs
"Fine I'll go. And we are gonna party hard and forget about all our troubles for one night. We are going to take risks and risk it all!" She says and I laugh
"Alright, get dressed" I say while handing her a pair of jeans and a t-shirt
-----
We have already been at the party for an hour and let's just say Maddie is already drunk and I am a little tipsy. She is dancing with some frat guy while I am watching her like a hawk"Hey babe, why don't you say we go upstairs and-"
"Let me stop you right there" I say to the sleezeball that's hitting on me. I spot Caiden and I grab him
"I have a boyfriend, so back off" I say and Caiden smiles and the guy smirks and crosses his arms
"Your not a couple, you hate him"
"No I don't and I'll prove it" as much as it pains me, I pull Caiden in and embrace him in s kiss but what I was t expecting was for him to kiss me back and things are getting pretty heated. We are at a point where he grabbed my ass but I slapped his hand away and the sleezeball clears his throat
"Okay, well it looks like you are a couple. Have fun you two" he says while walking off and I cough
"Thanks, you really made it believable" I say and he scratches the back of his head and coughs
"Umm yeah sure no problem. I got to go, my friend Nate wants me to play beer pong, see you in class" he says while quickly walking away and Maddie runs up to me
"YOU MADE OUT! HE LIKES YOU!" She says while jumping up and down like a thirteen year old who just found out her crush likes her back
"Oh please, it was just to get that sleezeball away from me" I say and she shakes her head
"He kissed you back with passion. He likes you weather you like it or not" She says and I laugh. "Shut up. Let's dance" I say while dragging her onto the dance floor
As we are dancing I can't help but think is what she said true? Does he really like me? Why do I feel a bit of happiness? NO, you can't be happy about this Abby, he basically killed your brother. I can't like him...
