It was a dark and gloomy night. There was a stench of destruction all around. The village, though quite powerful, had been massacred. Some how these foul creatures had gained a lot of power. Not just power, but also a bigger army. The village wise one wondered, “Why did they attack? They are a quite a bit aggressive, but when did they change, to attacking people who don’t come into their territory?”

Not many warriors survived, they all died trying to save the village. Tykenister, a swordsman, was the only one of his kind who survived. There was also the healer, Amona-ra. She was trying to save the ones who showed signs of life. Tyke was a person with sun yellow hair and blue eyes, his eyes showed his knowledge and power. Armed with a deadly flaming tsurugi, he was a tall warrior, who feared none, but was always ready to take the right steps when his friends were involved and Amona-ra, a very kind acolyte. Rarely went for wars, even if she did, she would only keep healing and helping the wounded and fighting warriors. Tyke came up to Amona and said, “I am going to get them...” with anger in his eyes. Amona quickly turned to him, “Do you know what you are saying? They took our emblem! Our Emperium……..they broke our wizard’s magic which was protecting that Emperium………somehow, they have grown very powerful…..I can sense that, they are not alone….”she said with fear in her beautiful raven black eyes. “I know, I’ll try to save our wizard, I don’t think anything would have happened to Warmack……” Tyke broke up……….he saw the fear in Amona’s eyes. These Orcs were very cruel creatures and they didn’t like magic and magicians. They always were ready to destroy any magical object used against them. And Orcs gaining power was not a good sign.

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of myself” said tyke smiling at Amona. “…well, ok. But do take care of yourself” she said pensively, “and take these too”. She gave Tyke a small bag of potions and a small bunch of herbs and some other stuff.

Tyke left the village with only the moon, clouded heavily, which seemed as though it traveled along side him. It was a Long walk to Orc village, so tyke decided to take a bit of rest under a tree, which was present close to a small lake. As he lied down there, he watched the stars which shone dimly under the clouded and smoke filled sky. He thought to himself, “It would be good if I get company for this quest, and a swordsman alone cannot kill all the Orcs……..”

He was not in the mood to sleep, so he got up to see anything interesting. He saw a leaf fly high up in the sky. This sight made him to unconsciously pick up a stone and throw it. He was about to throw it, to knock down the leaf, but he stopped dead as he heard a whizzing sound. Some thing bluish-white was fast approaching, towards the leaf. It looked like a snake trying to grab its prey. Quite stunned by the sudden movement, he kept watching at that whizzing object. Within seconds it reached the leaf and froze it in mid-air. It looked as though the blue snake had, with its immense speed and force, caught its prey. Tyke then saw the stone in his hand and quickly threw it at the frozen leaf. As soon as his projectile hit the frozen leaf, the whole ice snake shattered into a thousand pieces, and fell into the lake below. After the environment had become calm again, tyke tried to see the source of this drive of ice. He went to the other side of the lake and saw a person wearing a sakkat starring at the place where the leaf was frozen. Tyke crept behind him slowly, without making a sound.

“You don’t have to stalk me Mister Tykeinster. And yes, I know very well who you are”.

Tyke stopped dead in his tracks. He stared at the person for sometime, and then came out of the shadows, walked towards him. The person, was still staring at the sky, he seemed as though he was looking for something. Tyke went close to him as said, “Who are you? And how do you know me...?” Tyke saw the person, from up close, trying to identify the person. The person had a long grayish-brown cape behind him. He had a unique staff in his hand. Tyke only could see the top of the staff, but not the person’s hand itself. The man said, “…..such frivolous details are unnecessary at the moment. I know your quest, and yes the Orcs have become powerful”.
