Afternoon Hangout

Your POV:

Yukine and I finally finished cleaning our part of the shop. After we finish putting the cleaning supplies away we rush out to the front and shout

"We're gonna hang out for a little bit! we finished our part so we'll be going see you guys at Kofuku's !"

before Yato or Kosuke could protest we run out the door. As we are walking Yukine asks

"So Aki where do you wanna go first?"

"I was hoping you could choose since I don't know my way around here" you say with a smile.

"Oh alright.. I know! Let's go to this ice cream shop!" Yukine says

~Time skip~

Yukine's POV:

After getting out ice cream Aki and I were walk around talking and laughing. Wow this is nice, I never get to hang out with anyone my age. I want to take Aki somewhere nice... Maybe the cherry blossom tree!

"H-Hey Aki There's this place I wanna take you I promise you'll like it!"

"Sure lead the way!" she says with her usual sweet smile...

' This is kinda like a d-dat... NO stop thinking like that Yukine! she just wants to be your friend... maybe

Your POV:

After a little bit of walking Yukine and I arrive at this beautiful cherry blossom tree.

"Yukine! this is beautiful!"

"I told you you'd like it" he says smiling

As you walk closer to it you notice there's two names carved into it.

"Suzuha and Tomoko.." you mutter

"He was my friend..." Yukine says with a bit of sadness in his voice.

"What happen–" you cover your mouth instantly.

' That's so rude oh no why'd I have to say tha– '
you were interrupted from you thoughts when Yukine says

"No it's ok don't feel bad, I'll tell you what happened if you want."

"I-If that's alright with you" you reply back.

"We were friends for only a short time.. He later passed away from a phantom attack."

You could see the sorrow in his eyes. You wanted to cheer him up, he looks better with a smile on his face.

"Well if it makes you feel any better, Yukine , I consider you my friend."

Once you said that he looks up at you with a little bit of shock in his eyes and a pink tint over his cheeks. You smile at him and as if you couldn't control your body, you found yourself hugging him. When you realized what you were doing your heart skipped a beat.

' wha-what am I doing.. why do I feel like this..? ' you think to yourself.

You let go to find Yukine blushing insanely. You giggle and look at the sky noticing its getting dark out.

"Hey Yukine let's head back its getting dark"

"S-Sure" he says still flustered.

As you're walking back to Kofuku's shrine you look at the stars and can't help but think what kind of emotion you were feeling when you were hugging Yukine, it felt really nice...
