✄--------✄---Hailee's Version---✄--------✄
As a rather conservative girl, I could never imagine that I would be here in a café, enjoying a cup of latte with a complete stranger. My parents would have never allowed me to meet up with internet friends, let alone a random guy from the street. Speaking of my parents, my neck tingled at the thought of being stared at the back of my head.
"Hailee-Shi?"
Jimin-Shi had tilted his head and leaned towards me, while gazing into my eyes. His soft monolids made his puppy eyes look softer than ever. Not even my parents would be able to associate him with a bad guy. Still, I pulled the mug towards myself, "I'm fine, just overthinking everything."
He let out a soft chuckle, "Well, I hope I'm not part of it"
Flustered, I choked on my latte, only to hear his chuckles bubbling up.
"Guess I was right," he winked at me, glimmers of cheekiness in his soft eyes, while kindly fetching me a tissue.
Hopefully he was not trying to drug me with that; because I wouldn't fall for it.
For the sake of protecting myself, I wiped the latte stain off my collar with my own tissue, awkwardly ignoring the small hand he held out in the air, "It's okay, I brought my own."
With a shrug, he swiftly stuffed the tissue in his pocket, "So why are you overthinking about me?" His eyes lit up in curiosity from a sweep of awfully long lashes.
I snapped my head up, only to see amused twinkles in the corners of his eyes. He seemed to enjoy putting me into a fluster. "I thought we've moved on from that topic." I muttered, more like pouted, like a kid who had been denied ice-cream.
The corners of his lips twitched upwards in an entertained grin. As if he was not cheeky enough, he winked again, cupping his cheeks in his palms, "Of course I won't let it slide."
Hesitated, I was drumming my fingers on the mug, a blush creeping onto my cheeks, "Are you sure?" He gave a quick nod before I could finish the question.
Since he was so sure, I had no reason to hesitate.
I took the courage to look him in the eye and speak my mind. "I was just calculating the time it will take to run to the door..." I continued, "if you were to kidnap me."
His smirk froze at my words, and soon it was replaced by a frown. "Wait a second." His eyes were wide open in disbelief. "Do I look like a bad guy to you the entire time?" It almost looked like tears were welling up in his puppy eyes, but really it was just reflection of the sunlight.
"No... Not really." I shook my head slightly and stared back at him, "But you act like one." Jimin-Shi was a bit too friendly for an introvert like me, and that could be a bit suspicious.
Upset by the accusation, Jimin-Shi quickly dropped his shoulders like a deflated balloon. I felt like I had to say some words of comfort, so I did. "It's okay. Hm... Others probably have opinions different from mine."
