"Get up." A soft voice whispered in my ear, making me twitch. "Go away." I muttered, pulling the covers over my head.

"Aw, come on." The voice said, louder now. "You gotta get up for school. Say hi to the new ghost down the road." Ah. Of course. Violet.

"Violet go away. I'm tired." She giggled before I felt her presence leave. New ghost? Oh yeah, that one new girl who fell down the stairs and broke her neck. Makes sense that she'd be a ghost. 'Get up!' A voice screeched in my mind.

"Jasper!" I shouted, flinging myself out of the bed. "If you don't stop I'm going to fucking murder you!" I threatened angrily, breathing hard.

He appeared in front of me, his translucent body wavered slightly. Blood dripped from the bullet wound that was right between his eyes. Suicide. He smirked and looked at me. "Did I wake you?" He asked innocently.

"I'm going to kill you. again." I muttered, standing up and grabbing a random t-shirt and jeans. "Aw, you wouldn't do that! Ya love me to much."

He grinned. Cheeky bastard. "Go get the new ghost would ya? Be useful for once?" I begged, turning around to look at him. "Yes my master!" He shouted, smirking and giving me a salute before floating out of my room. Oh my god I'm going to actually kill this kid.

I've had this power since forever, I remember how cool it was when I was younger, I didn't know there could be bad ghosts. The ghosts that I hung around with were all good though, most were suicides. They didn't have any reason to get revenge. Although Violet was the victim of a murder, she forgave and forgot pretty easily.

"I'm back master!" Jasper chimed, I could practically hear the sarcasm dripping from his lips. I grunted as I tugged my jeans on, walking out of the bathroom to see the terrified brown haired girl in the middle of my room.

"Hey it's ok." I said softly. "I-I fell, my neck...." She choked out, fear obvious in her eyes. I winced when I noticed that it was twisted oddly, and bone jutted out the side.

"It's alright. Did Jasper explain anything?" I asked, gesturing towards the cheeky idiot. She shrugged and wiped at her eyes. "I died, and I'm a ghost. Why couldn't my parents see me?!" She cried.

I sighed quietly. This was always the hardest part, telling them that I was the only one who could see them. Or I was the only one I knew of. Sometimes people could sense them, but it usually made giving up the people who passed harder. "I'm the only one who can...." I said slowly. "You'll be ok though, I promise." I said, forcing a smile on my face.

She sniffled and I sighed. "Listen, Violet?" I called. "Hmm?" Her voice hummed, floating just above the girl. Violet had been hacked to pieces, so really she was just a lot of floating parts put together. She could 'put herself together' though, and she didn't look very scary. Then you could only see the bloody lines. "Take care of her ok? I have to run. Don't let her move shit around." New ghosts had a tendency to get overwhelmed with all the new information and have a tendency to wreck pipes, mirrors, anything near them, and electronics.

"Got your back!" Violet chirped. "And you," I said, turning to face Jasper. He smirked but I just glared. "Leave her alone. Don't scare her. Don't fuck with anything."

He chuckled quietly, making more blood drip down the bridge of his nose. "Of course not, I'll be good mom, promise." I scoffed and grabbed my bag. "Be good!" I shouted again, grabbing my shoes and bolting down the steps. Ugh school, where the douche ghosts like to hang out. Great.
