ISAAC'S POV:

I exited her window and went smoothly from the roof to the ground, making it down unscathed as usual. Before I left her for the night, I made sure to call her attention to the window and give her my last witty response.

"It was nice meeting you." I smirked to her. The blush on her face intensified and my smirk turned into a smile. She was adorable. I gave her one last wave and then set off into the dark.

Let's just say that the subway depot wouldn't be my only destination tonight.

After hearing that story about her sister, my mind kept spinning. Something about the facts seemed off to me. Bears were hardly found in the woods here in Beacon Hills, and if they are, they're more scared of you than you are of them.

By the way she had told the story, it sounded like that was all she knew. No minor details, no inferences from the doctors, just what her parents decided to tell her.

If my hunch was correct, I'd find out a lot more than she was telling if I could just get my hands on the hospital files.

I pulled out my phone to shoot a quick text to Scott. Luckily, he was still awake.

- Scott, I need a favor from your mother. She still at work?

- Yeah... What do you need?

- Hospital files. It's got something to do with Sarah.

- What is it? I'll let her know.

- Just an educated guess for now... I'll let you know if I find something. Thanks man.

- No problem. Be careful, Isaac.

"Guess it's my lucky night." I said into the darkness. It was a shot in the dark that Mrs. McCall had a later shift tonight, otherwise it'd be a real struggle to try and get my hands on a dead girl's files without an insider's help.

Tonight had felt right. How she had managed to calm me down like that was still a mystery to me. I hadn't thought of my anchor at all. All I had focused on was her. Our kiss had probably caught me so off guard that I snapped out of it or something.

Or maybe it was the fact that my crush since middle school had willingly kissed me.

I ran my hands through my hair, catching a glimpse at the moon now high in the sky. By the looks of it, the next full moon would be in about four days. I just had to hope it was enough time for Sarah to find her anchor before four days passed.

My mind flashed to images back in the subway depot on my second full moon, but I was particularly remembering the spiked band Derek had literally drilled into Erica's head. A slight shiver ran down my spine.

I didn't want that to happen to her.

My walk to the hospital was shorter than expected and quiet. Lucky for me, Sarah lived in the more pampered part of Beacon Hills and therefore closer to the facility. I was just about to walk through the front doors and find Mrs. McCall when my phone went off. It was a text from Scott.

- She said to use the side entrance.

I stared weirdly at the screen of my phone but didn't question it, and instead began to head for the side entrance. It was where most of the ambulances unloaded immobile patients, or, as of lately, bodies.

By the time I made my way around, Mrs. McCall was already waiting outside near the door.

"Thanks for helping me out Mrs.McCall." I said as I approached her. She turned to me startled and replied.
