We stood in the woods in the dark of night, and I had only my sweater to keep the chill from invading my body. Isaac stood next to me peaking through the trees with a look of curiosity on his face.

"Who do you think it is?" I pondered. The only person that might be in the school so late was the janitor, but even that was unlikely.

"Only one way to find out I guess. Come on, you're safe with me." Isaac took my hand and led me through what little was left of the trees. I kept my head pointed down so he couldn't see the blush he caused on my cheeks, even though by now I was probably burning a bright red.

I didn't doubt that Isaac would keep me safe. Okay, so maybe I did. But he had fought off the alpha once already when he saved me, hadn't he? Without even noticing it I clung tighter to his hand and let him lead me toward the school.

As we neared the doors I finally realized what a stupid idea this was. What if it was the alpha? Was it possible for him to follow my scent here or something? Did I smell that bad that I had a stench to follow? I thought about asking Isaac this but he was already busy picking the lock on one of the doors.

Well whoever was in here had to have gotten inside somehow...

While Isaac kept himself busy with the lock, I strolled a few doors down and tugged on the handles until I found a loose door. I looked up to signal him, but he had already given up picking the lock and settled with punching through the glass. my jaw drapped as I let go of the door.

"Isaac, this door was unlocked. And aren't we supposed to be quiet!?" I squeaked, watching him stick his hand through the hole and unlock it from the inside. "Are you hurt?"

"I was frustrated. It'll heal in a few minutes, don't worry." He grumbled to me while holding open the freshly broken door. I slipped inside and then yanked him after me, taking his now hurt hand and examining it. The blood was beginning to vanish back into the wound before my eyes and the wounds began to close. I brushed away the last of the glass and watched mesmerized as he healed.

"Amazing... Can I do that too?"

"All werewolves can. It's why the bite healed so quickly on you, also why your arms healed." He flipped his hand back and forth as if to make sure it was completely healed and then grabbed mine, pulling me out of the lobby and into the halls.

It was only about half way up the first hall when I noticed how stupid this idea was. I pulled Isaac to a stop and tugged on his arm.

"Isaac, this is pointless. Who cares about who is in the school this late? What if it's some serial killer?! Or that alpha?! I think we should just go back home. I can get my things another day. Come on, let's go home." I was arguing with him out of fear. I didn't want to confront whoever was in here with us, because obviously they weren't supposed to be here, and probably had a pretty good reason to be.

"Sarah stop it, you're freaking yourself out. You're safe with me. I'm not gonna let anything hurt you. Besides, we're just here to grab your things anyways." He tried to comfort me.

"My locker's at the other end of the school, Isaac."

"Okay so we're taking a little detour... You'll be fine Sarah. You have my word." He jokingly placed his other hand over his heart as if it wold emphasize this promise. I couldn't help but smile a little.

I let him tug me down the hall and followed patiently after him. I guess it couldn't hurt to see who it was, right? We were both werewolves after all. What could hurt us? That familiar rush of power I had felt yelling at Isaac back at the old house had returned. Isaac looked back at me, a smirk growing on his face.
