The rest of us piled inside the house and gathered around in what I would assume used to be the main room. A torn up couch rested in the corner and the floors were splattered with dried blood. At one point I thought I saw a bullet shell stuck in the floor.
"So why am I here? I'm supposed to be in detention anyways." I hugged my sweater to myself and searched each of their faces for an answer. No one was budging.
"You have questions about last night. We're here to answer them." Isaac was the one to answer me. For a moment I wondered if all of them had an idea of what had happened to me.
"I don't even know where to start... Okay. What attacked me?"
"Our best bet is another werewolf-" Stiles began, but Scott slapped him in the center of the chest.
"Real subtle." He broke off into whispers, but for whatever reason I could still hear them.
"You can't just shove it in her face that she's a werewolf! She'll lose it or something man." Derek and Isaac were watching the two bicker just as I was.
"I think we can all hear you two." Derek said with a nod toward me. Both Scott and Stiles immediately shut up and exchanged glances with one another. "Like he said, we think it was another werewolf. We're not completely certain who though-"
"Woah woah woah," I cut him off. "Werewolf. What are you on man? Acid? LSD? Werewolves don't exist. They're mythical. They're imaginary, and here you are trying to tell me that I was attacked by one?!"
"Well do you have a better explanation?" He knew he got me with that one.
I shut up this time. Just go along with it Sarah. They'll tell you the truth once they run out of this werewolf bullshit to feed you.
"It was a werewolf that attacked you. It wasn't one of us obviously. It could have been an omega. A lone wolf. Sarah, do you remember anything about the attack?" Though his voice remained neutral, the look in his eyes told me that this information was vital.
"Alright, I'll go along with this," I began. "I remember most of it. I was at the gym down the street from my house and I guess he followed me there. He went into the locker room and I was dumb enough to follow. The next thing I knew the lights went out and i heard a bunch of growling and cracking," I winced as the memories came back full speed. I didn't want to think about this, I couldn't. But I had to. "Um," I sucked in a breath. "It was big and it was fast. It had hair covering its entire body. And its eyes..."
When had I started crying? I could feel the wetness run down my cheeks. I hurriedly wiped them dry and tried to fix myself. Crying wasn't like me, but I'd done an awful lot of it in the past few days.
"What about the eyes? What color were they?" It was Stiles who prodded me. Of course.
I wiped one last tear from my cheek and crossed my arms. "They were red. A blood red. They looked like they belonged to some animal."
"An alpha..." Isaac whispered from next to me. Derek hadn't looked up from the floor yet, he seemed to be in deep thought by the way he was posed.
"How red? More red than Derek's?" It was Scott that asked this time.
My eyes immediately shot to Derek who looked up at the mention of his name. He looked from Scott to me once before his eyes changed from a hazel to a brilliant red. I couldn't help but take an involuntary step back at the sight of them. They were still red but... the ones I had seen were different.
"H-How did you do that?" My voice was shaking now. Great.
Derek only stared at me. "Answer the question."
