Seeing Mum and Movie Night

Kaeli's POV:

Beau walks us into Mum's room. I put my face into Beau's shoulder. He stroked my hair.

"Kaeli??" I hear someone say. I lift my head from Beau's shoulder and see my Nonna and Nonno sitting in chairs on the other side of the room. Beau's head was covering my view of my Mum. He sets me down onto the floor and I look over to my Mum. She had wires coming from every direction from her body. She was pale and looked lifeless. I walk over to the side of her bed and grab her ice cold hand. I feel tears slide down my cheeks. I can't stand seeing my mother who is normally so strong in that kind of state. Luke came and sat next to me. He put his hand on the small of my back.

"She is going to be okay Kaeli." He says and I nod. I let go of her hand and run over to Jai. I hug onto his leg. He lifts me up into his arms. I cry into the crook of his neck. He rubs my back and shushes me. He rocks us back and forth. I get passed off to another person. I look up into my Nonno's golden brown eyes. He holds my head and pushes it onto his shoulder.

"Your Mum is going to be just fine Kaeli." My Nonna says. My Nonno passes me off into the arms of one of my brothers. I look up and see Beau. He kisses my fore head and we walk out of the hospital room. On the drive home I laid my head into Luke's lap and fell asleep. I feel myself get lifted off of the seat. I am getting carried somewhere and I hear a door slam. I get set down on something leather. I open my eyes and see Jai laying my blanket over top of me.

"Want to watch a movie buggy?" Beau says as he walks into the lounge with a bowl of popcorn and a tray of hot chocolates. I nod and he sits down next to me. I grab my blanket and crawl into his lap. He instantly wraps his arms around my waist. Luke walks into the lounge and sits down next to Beau as Jai puts the DVD in. I lean my head back into Beau's chest. Luke grabs my blanket and puts it over all of us. Beau grabs the mugs of his famous hot chocolate and passes one to each of us. He gives me a silly straw to drink my hot chocolate from and he puts the bowl of popcorn in the middle of us. Halfway through the 4th movie we had finished 3 large pizzas, 6 liters of soda and 4 candy bars. It was 9:30. I yawned and my eye lids started to feel heavier than lead. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
