The day after the shot out, all the officers and their dogs and families were behind the police building about to bury Casey. "James are you okay?" Alice asked with a shaken voice. "yea I'm just" stops himself Alice hugs him as everyone walks to the casket that caseys in. Chance looks down at her "thank you girl" he said reaching down to pet her head before backing up for James to see her one last time. "Casey you saved me, I wish I could change this and have you back with me" he cried as he walked back so everyone could see her one last time. Andrew walked up to James and handed him Casey's collar and tags "I thought you may want this" he said "thanks Andrew" James said hugging him. Casey is buried and everyone stands around her grave as all the dogs start to howl and bark.

The next week later. Andrew walks up to James. " hey come out side real quick" he said " why ?" James asked confused as he followed Andrew outside. Before Andrew opened the door he turned to James "close your eyes and don't ask why." he said as James closed his eyes Andrew led him out and everyone stepped away. "open" Andrew said smiling as James opened his eyes to see a Pitbull puppy. James bent down as the puppy ran up to him and jumped on him. "where'd you get him" james asked smiling for the first time in a week. "he was found in the back of the shed" Alice said. James picked up the pit. "he's yours James" chance said "thank you all of you" he said with tears in his eyes " what are you going to name him?" nick asked "lucky" James said
