A Doubled Mind

Part 16

Authors Note: I know that I have been really late at these post but I had an intervention and Wrote this other book, or the beginning at least.

                This is it.

I start to make my way down the carpet. I take a look at my surroundings, the forest looks different tonight. You know how sometimes you get that feeling that something is different, you don't know what it is, but you know something is different. Yeah well something is definitely creepy weird. 

I see the crowd and the chairs that are pulled up t the sides of the carpet. Honestly, most people would think we are having an emo wedding, but this is how the ceremony is. Although, instead of an altar we use a harry potter looking pergola. 

'What do you think is gonna happen?' Eva says slightly nervous.

'You have never done this before?' I ask with shock, I mean I would think as training for Luna Guardian, they would choose the experience. 

'They don't let some one do that because the Luna needs a young and lively warrior ready to live and help the Luna.' I nod absentmindedly as I get closer.

I see Jonah from where I stand, he wears casual clothing, a black fitting shirt, dark washed jeans, and a black leather trade-mark jacket, with of course converse. As I got closer I could see him, and his smirk got even wider when he realized I was checking him out. I rolled my eyes and switched my vision to the front of the carpet, and kept them there. 

My parents at the edge of the carpet, my mom quietly sniffling and choking on a few sobs, my father was, yeah lets not go there....

As I edged closer to the ending of the carpet, I could see the faint white and purple neon glow, of a ball of light. It grew brighter and lighter as I came closer, I've never been so attracted to anything in my entire life, something pulled within me, groveling towards the light, I felt the air begin to crackle around me, the staticity had grown a million miles a minute, I felt like shifting but I couldn't. The tension was growing by the minute but I couldn't do anything to stop it . Finally I lifted to the sky, and I felt the ball go into my body down to my soul. Out came with it, was my guardian.

Eva. All in all, she was beautiful. Tanned, beautiful brown hair, dazzling green eyes, oh I almost forgot, she was poportionalized in every perfect way.  Then I realized something. If my soul is in her body, then....

Was I then her, or was she me?  I got my answer then, because my body started shifting and so did hers, and then we merged, my light and hers. I slowly drifted downwards, making my way towards the forest floor. I felt the wind touch my body, and shivered, why was I so cold? I looked down then and realized my body was completely and utterly naked. 

I did the most natural thing a person would do, which was grab something to cover myself. Which turned out to be Jonah. I could almost fell him smirking. I could tell by the he was standing, cheeky bastard.  I realized that my body wasn't the same anymore, I was tan now, I still had brown hair, and my body just, made its self beautiful. 

It wasn't long before someone had ruined it, that someone being, (drum roll please) Chris!!! Would ya' look at that, you guessed it, the devil reincarnated himself. Before I could protest about him being here Jonah said, " What the hell are you doing here?" inching himself a little more in front of me, out of Chris's view. So now you decide to cover me, really?   I could really understand what was happening but all of the sudden the air started crackling again, and I had somehow gained clothes for somewhere, I don't even know how I was floating or flying but I was just amazed and pretty excited to be flying. Until I saw my target being, Chris, and his gang of mutts. 

"Jonah just asked you a question. I do not need to ask again." I said getting impatient and a little irritated, at the fact of his presence.

"I am here to take you as my Luna, and join the packs. That has always been the plan has it not?" Chris said innocently, but he knows why he isn't welcome, and I'll make sure knows now too.

"Oh, have you now? Well your very late and believe it or not, this Luna has her eyes set on someone else. Oh next time when you want a Luna, make sure you don't cheat on them, it will most likely keep them with you." I said calm, and almost nonchalantly. If there was one thing that Chris hated the most was public humiliation, and this was it at its finest. 

"Sweetheart-" He said trying to smooth over what i just said, but I interjected.

"Luna." I said looking at him boredly. 

"Luna, it was a mistake you know that, I was not in the right state of mind, I was acting on impulse. I have become wiser, smarter, I have changed, you'll see. I really love you, and all the grains of dirt under our feet couldn't amount to our love." He said feigning longing and regret. 

I could practically see all the girls at this moment swoon over his last comment, like he would save the day with a quick and silly quote. Puh- lease."I honestly don't care and as far as I'm concerned I don't need you or your pack, and so help me gods, if you decide to say another word, I will so much as remove your pack from the territory,forever. You have no use to me, and you are no longer tied to me in any way." I say with finality. 

With a faint nod and a couple of  "okays" the pack started leaving the premisiss, once they were gone I went to the floor and stood on my toes and looked Jonah in the eye. He honestly looked shell shocked. I went in..... but not for the kiss, my lips slid across his cheek to his ear, where I whispered "That person is you, you know, and by the way this is pay back." I slid back and shot him a smirk. The tips of his ears were red and his eyes wide and full of haze. I stifled a laugh and walked away, nodding to the people on the sides. 

My eyes were starting to become heavy, I was still going strong though making my way into the house but only a couple of seconds later I collapsed on the ground feeling drained of anything. 

The last thing I remember is...... 

'Come to me Hunter, and fufill your destiny, you journey awaits my hunting Luna, till we meet....'
