Love Bond - Act II -

Maya

Where is he?

He promised that he will be here so he can come along when we pick up my parents from the airport.He didnt even come in this morning to greet me.He usually wakes me up since he knows I like sleeping in during weekends.

"Are you ready dear?" My aunt,who has been taking care of me looked at me.

I checked my watched again,he hasn't called or messaged.He's dead meat later."Yes."

My aunt and I got in her mini-van and drove out the garage towards the airport.

I am nervous.Im finally going to see my parents,after all these years.They never came for the holidays,but we would communicate through calls and video calls.But that's different.This is why I wanted will here,he knows how to calm me,he's just good at it.He's my bestfriend since we were kids.

Will,the only boy in my life.My bestfriend and brotherly figure.He's the only one who can put up with my crazy side and calm me down.And he never lets me down,now is an exception.

"I'm sure he has his reasons." My aunt spoke and I gave a faint smile."Dont be nervous now.You should be excited your parents are finally coming back home."

I nodded,"Okay."

Will

I checked my watch and mentally cursed,Maya is probably at the airport now.I wasnt able to call or message her.I didnt even knew it would take this long.And I even left my cell at home.

"Im sorry." the white lady apologized,noticing my troubled expression.

I looked at her,"its okay."

She gave a slight nod barely visible and looked at the creepy abandoned mansion ahead.

I did a quick survey of the exterior surroundings,from what I can see its old looking and half-burnt.The mansion was supposedly burned a few years back and nobody dared entered since there were rumours of ghost sightings.It wasn't demolished since it belonged to a family that believes in superstitions,leaving the mansion abandoned and free of human existence.

I eye-search the whole place when I noticed a black figure moving on the top floor through the windows.Its him.

"I think I see him."

The lady almost looked happy,quite ironic considering she's dead already.

I took quiet precautioned steps and reached the porch.The white lady was already beside me.

"Be careful.They've been looking for him for a year now,and never did they got him." The white warned me."Being a magical being offcourse." She mumbled.

I nodded taking out a bottle of holy water,"So this is all I need?"

"Yes.But use it wisely.There's a chance that he found out that I've asked paranormal assistance."

I took her instructions in mind and grabbed the doorknob and slowly opened it.

We patiently waited for the arrival of my parents,and Im starting to feel bored already.I tried calling Will's cell but it would go to voice-mail.I gave up.

"Are they here yet?" I asked for the tenth time.

My aunt chuckled at my bored state,"Dont worry,They'll come."

"And come they have!" My aunt turned around and squealed in happiness and immediately ran towards my parents,I took my time observing them.

My mom and dad looked at me with wide smiles,"Well? Aren't you going to come and give your parents a hug?"

I shuffled my feet before approaching them slowly until I was infront of them.They pulled into a tight embrace I thought I was going to die to suffocation.

"We missed you honey." My mom whispered pulling me back while my dad rufflled my hair,like how Will does.

I saw their happy expression and I can't help but smile,genuinely.All the nervousness washed away after hearing those words."I missed you too."

"So tell me dear.How's life and what going on with you?" My mom asked holding onto my hands.I told her about school and my bestfriend Will.They never really got to meet him personally,but I would always talk about him whenever we have our calls.

"He sounds like a keeper." My dad winked and I shook my head.

"He's my bestfriend."

My mom patted my hands,"Your dad is just joking around.Im sure he's a good boy."

I smiled,I'm starting to miss him now.

I looked out the window,where is he?

Will

Damn,he's fast.

He's a shapeshifter.

I hid behind a cabinet and infront of me was an old-cracked up mirror,I silently placed an invisible spell.He would not see but I can definitely see him.

The floor creaked as his footsteps has slowed down and he was searching the room.He would probably have seen me in the mirror's reflection but good thing the magic worked.He was now standing behind me and he hasn't yet discovered my hiding.

Without a second to waste I lunged at him and chanted a spell that I had just learned trapping him in the spot,paralyzed.

"From drakness you once came,to darkness you shall return." I took out the bottle of holy water splashing it on him.

He cried in pain and agony as the water seeped through him and soon his body form slowly vanished as smoke.

I fell on my knees as I panted,"He's gone."

The white lady appeared as she hovered above me,white light shone above us as I covered my eyes from the bright white light.

"Thank you.I will forever be gratefull.Thank you for breaking the curse." Her voice faded along with her translucent form as she ascended towards the white light.Soon I was left alone.I collasped on the floor.
