I get to the ticket counter and pull out my id and hand it to the lady. She smiles at me and says. "Are you okay?" I shake my head yes. But truly everything inside my body was hurting. My heart was broken double time. I just left my daughter that I have never been away from for more than a weekend, and now I have left her for 14 months. Then, I just left my girlfriend. I mean my ex girlfriend of two years that i also have never been away from since the day she came back from being Reserved in the Airforce. I remember the day I met Ursula. I was at the park with Ashia and Ursula was across the park with her nephew Trey. She was pushing him on the swings. Ashia wanted to swing as well so we went over , and Ashia starts talking to Trey. They both jump off the swings and asked can they go play in the sand box. Me and Ursula say sure at the same time and laugh. She then tells me her name and we converse for about 30 minutes before the kids come over and say they want ice cream. So, we walk the kids over to the ice cream truck that is sitting across the park we buy the bomb pops with the bubble gum on top. They play for about a another 30 minutes. I decided it was late and it was Sunday and I had to get to school in the morning and so did Ashia. So, Ursula asked for my number. She called and we went on a date the following Friday. She took me to a movie then to Olive Garden after. We started dating about two weeks later lol. But, I think we were rushing it because she had to leave to start her military career the following month. Which makes me mad every time i think about it. She went and did her time away from home and i stuck by her. I just wish she had as much love for us to stick by me like I did for her. Yet, she made that decision for the both of us when she woke me up this morning with breakfast and a card to only have written inside " I wish you nothing but the best in these next 14 months but i think we should just be co-parents while you gone. I agreed because i didnt want to argue with someone I was not going to see for the next 14 months. I love that woman so if she wanted to wait till i got back to have a relationship i would do that for her. But she will take our relationship to the next step if she wants to be in a relationship with me after she pulls a stunt like that. I now am done with my baggage and security. So i head to find my gate #732. I get to the gate 15 minutes before my plane is suppose to take off. Their aren't really any seats left by my gate. But i stand their because the plane next to our gate is loading up so ill just take one of their chairs when they leave. They call the last group for plane #453. I take a seat next to a young girl maybe my age or a little older. She looks at me and smile. I guess she noticed i had been crying and asked if i was going to Texas as well. I laughed a little and said "yep sure am, how'd you?" She said because I am as well. Well, then Hello my name is Lauren Fields. Before she could tell me her name a taller girl with long curly hair set down next to me and kinda bumped me she apologized and smiled a little and put her earphones back in and laid her head back. She was tall and muscular like a basketball ball player. But beautiful like a model. I kinda figured she was going to texas as well because she had a national guard bookbag with her. I had to admit she was so my type of girl but she reminded me of Ursula so much that I didn't think I even wanted to know her name. I heard the flight attendant come over the intercom to tell us we could line up to board our plane. I was group b and so was this sleeping goddess sitting next to me. I saw her ticket sticking out of her backpack. Then, i heard the girl next to me clear her throat and i turned to face her and she laughed a little. I laughed as well, then asked her why were we laughing. She said well if your gone stare at her like that i think you should at least know her name. I smiled and said yeah i guess. But, excuse my rudeness we were in the middle of a conversation ,what is your name? She looked at me and said I am and the only Yolanda White with a big confident smile on her face. I had to admit her teeth her beautiful and white ass hell. Then, the flight attendant came over the intercom again letting us know it was time for us to line up to board the plane. I tapped the the girl shoulder as i was getting my things together to get in line but she didnt budge. I tapped her a little harder this time but she still didn't budge. So, i decided i would take her ear plugs out. I pulled one out and said " hey huns I think its time for us to board." She immediately jumps up and knocking me over when she does. Now seeing her standing up and me on the ground she was more beautiful than i thought. She yells im awake. i laugh and say sure you are she looks down and reaches her hand out to help me up. I take it and laugh and she says." why you laughing little woman?" I say " because i tapped you twice and you didn't budge. Thanks for waking me up, I'm Kristen Baker, and you are? Your welcome and I am Lauren Fields. "Well its nice to meet you little woman," says "Kristen. Nice to meet you too. Well Ms.Fields, your quite nice and your beautiful. Where is a beautiful lady like you headed on a plane full of military bound people. I say, to be military bound as well, lol. Wow, really, "says Kristen. Yes. "May I ask you a question," says Kristen? Sure. How old are you little lady? Flashing her pearly white smile. I smile back at her and say, a woman never tells her age. She laughs. Then I say im 18. She looks at me stunned. I ask her what is the face for Kris? Then ask may I call you Kris? Her reply is only I thought you were older and sure i don't mind. Well how old do i look Kris? Maybe 20 or 22. Not 18 though when is your birthday. I'll tell you when we get settled on the plane i say before handing my ticket to the flight attendant. I walk down the tunnel to the plane and sit down in the middle empty chair next to Yolanda. I put my bag in between my legs and lay my head back. Yolanda then askes me whats the girl name that threw me on the floor a few minutes ago with a small chuckle. I laugh and say Kristen. I look up to see Kris coming down the aisle i ask her to sit by me so we can finish getting to know each other. Kris sits and smiles at me, then turns her attention to Yolanda and introduces herself, and Yolanda doing the same. Yolanda then says I am going to sleep because i didn't get any last night, nice to meet you two wake me up when we get there. Okay says Kris. Kris then turns her attention back to me and says are you comfortable in the middle or do you want the end i dont mind. I smile and say im fine. I hear her mumble yes your are, but i chose to not say anything. I still have alot on my mind Kris so do you mind if I place my ear phones in and take a nap? No, I don't mond lauren ,i was about tp ask you the same thing lol. Well I have one question for you Kris. Yes, ask me anything Lauren. How old are you? I am 22 Lauren anything else little lady. I laugh at her calling me little lady and say no thats it take you a nap. Were all gone need it. True, "say, Kris. You can lay on my shoulder if you can reach it. Well thank you i think ill take you up on that offer.
So then I place my ear bud in my ear and power trip by j.cole comes on and I lay my head back and think about the days to come and my life without my girls.
I feel someone tapping my shoulder and wake up and see Kris smiling. Sorry to wake you but were landing were here.

Sorry I tends to talk before I make sure people are listening to me. But I asked are you always this quiet or do you just have a lot on your mind right now.

Well we just got off the bus that picked us up from the airport a hour ago. All the drill sergeants are standing out ready to yell at us, and to take our personals. I instantly get feel my body tense up. A drill sergeant yelled at us telling us to get into a straight line. We did as he said. He introduced himself as SSG White. Immediately thought about my new friend Yolanda White, and wondered if that was her father. I didn't turn around to ask her because SSG White was to close and I didn't feel like been the first one he yelled at because they did something wrong. SSG White was separating the line into fours. He went through about six groups before he got to me. I felt my body tense up when he turned his attention to me.
"He asked me what is your name little girl?", says, SSG White.
Sir my name is, Lauren Fields, sir!
Well Fields you are the leader for these three ladies standing behind you, so take a good look behind you because they are your responsiblity to the day you all graduate! Do you understand?, says, SSG White.
Sir Yes Sir! I then turn to look at my group. Which contains, Yolanda White, Kristen Baker, and Lakeisha Jackson!
~Lakiesha White- Which is my best friend from high school I know she was going to be here at the same time as me but I didn't know she was going to be in my group. Hell, I didn't know she was here for goodness sake. I didnt see here in the airport nor on the bus so I wonder how she got here?
But snapping me out of my thoughts was a beautiful, tall, long black hair pulled in a tight bun, with mocha colored skin walking towards us. I knew she was a drill sergeant by her uniform.
She walked to us and introduced herself.
Hi ladies, my name is SSG Victoria Crawford i'll be your Drill Segeant for the next six weeks!
We all smiled and introuduced ourselves with White going first, Jackson second, Baker third, and me Fields last.
"Well nice to meet you ladies we will have lots of fun the next six weeks". says, SSG Crawford.
So who is captain of you guys? asks SSG Crawford?

"Good well you'll be meeting all the other captains up in the dorms to select you guys bunks! So, head that way!" says, SSG Crawford

I give my things to Baker and give her a smile, and start to walk toward the dorms.
