Hey!

I'll just let you guess who that is..

Chapter 3: Shay is cray

Allies POV
I'm barely 5 minutes into first period when my phone buzzes in my front pocket and I wince, hating the thought of taking my phone out during a class.

I reach in my pocket and grab my phone between my thumb and forefinger, tugging it out gently and tapping the screen to pull up a message from Shay while holding it under my desk inconspicuously.

Meet us at Lexie's car ASAP, no excuses Allie this is important.
Seen 8:45 A.M.

My eyebrows crease and lower lip juts out slightly, she knows how I feel about skipping class so she wouldn't ask if it was important.

Instead of responding I just above it back into my pocket and gather my things quietly, snatching my backpack off of the floor and walking up to the teacher with my eyes trained on the ground.

Mr. Cockrin looks up and stares at me expectantly.

"U-um.. I'm having... Girl problems.. Please excuse me." My voice betrays me and quavers slightly as I stutter.

He mistakes the tears in my eyes for tears of pain and waves me out of the room while most of the girls in the class look at my with pity as I rush out and head towards the front of the school.

I hear footsteps rushing up behind me and turn around to see Bo running up next to me.

A soft smile creeps onto my face as she tackles me in a hug, "What's going on Lee-Lee?"

My smile fades and a sympathetic expression takes over as I shrug.

She sighs and grabs my hand, rushing to the front of the school.

She's worried.

Shay is having me skip class, I'm beyond worried.

I'm terrified.

Not even when Mum and Dad died did I skip class, school was, is, my distraction.

We finally burst through the front doors after avoiding a few faculty members loitering around the school, looking for ditchers.

Like us.

We see all the other girls huddled around Lexie's car and Lexie standing in the middle, looking dazed.

Um.. That's wrong, so very wrong..

Shay looks at us and her face is like a stone mask, no emotion is to be seen and her lips are closed tightly.

She points silently to the car and I slide in the back, squished between Ariana and Bo, we watch as Lexie rides shotgun and Shay drives.

Kayla hops on her motorcycle and follows behind us as we peal out of the school parking lot.

Deafening silence suffocates us and no one dares to ask for the radio to be turned on.

Say something! Please..

"What's going on?" Bo's voice rings out in the claustrophobic silence, causing me to flinch.

Shays grip tightens on the steering wheel but says nothing and pushes down harder on the gas pedal, swerving dangerously on the turns.

My eyes widen as I see a kid about the age of three run towards the street after is rolling red ball, Shay heading right for him.

"Stop!" I yell and lunge forward, unbuckling my seatbelt at the same time and slamming my hand down on Shays leg that she lifted moments before to slam on the brakes.

The car screeches to a stop inches from the young child and his mother runs out, cradling him to her chest.

I, however, got thrown forward by the force of the stop and hit the dashboard hard.

// So basically she looks like an L. I guess right now. With her legs the straight part and in the back of the car and her upper half bent forward from hitting her back on the dashboard, get it? Got it? Good.\\

I blink my eyes rapidly to clear the tears from my vision as Shay lifts me forward gently and inspecting me.

Kayla throws Lexie's door open and pulls her out, taking her place and checking me for any sign of a concussion.

Voices overlap as the mother yells at us to be more careful and the girls argue back while asking me if I'm okay over and over again.

I groan lightly and haul myself back into the middle back seat, "I'm fine.. So shut up please so we can get home and find out what the hell is so important that Shay almost ran this kid over." I say, irritation lacing my tone as a killer headache takes over, "and you" I point an accusing finger at the mother, "do not have the right tell us of all people about paying attention. At this rate you're going to be the one to run your kid over. Pay attention you bitch." She glares at me and I return it.

I may be the sweet little Allie around my family but when it comes to people like this.. I can't help but put them in their place.

Kayla doesn't look as surprised as everyone else and ushers them into the car, slamming the door shut and poking the woman in the chest before turning around and hopping on her bike.
