I sat in the grass of the park, scribbling and sketching. This is where I go to clear my head. One week of school had already passed, and I was slowing already not understanding my biology. I leaned against the tree I was siting against, and sighed.
I'm pretty sure my brother lied about Charlie Taylor, I hadn't seen him at ALL during school. I was kinda interested to see him, considering the last time I saw him was 4 years ago. That's when I looked up.
There he was. He sat on a bench, reading some book. He looked the same; blond hair that swept across his forehead, his sparkling green eyes. And yet, he looked different.
He was wearing a blue striped sweater, which was weird considering that it was 89 degrees out. I stared at him for awhile, and then he glanced up and saw me. He didn't smile, he didn't make any expression. I looked into his eyes, and saw...nothing. I broke the gaze, and resumed my sketching.

I dreaded going to my biology class as I walked down the hall. I sucked at it; it was the only subject that I just didn't understand.
I walked into the classroom, and sat at my usual desk, in front of Lottie. Ms. Griff, my biology teacher, stood in the front of the classroom.
"Okay, class, today we will be getting our biology partners for the year." She said. I was nervous. I hope I didn't get put with Freddie Lucas or Peter Freed. They were perverts to say the least. I didn't really want to be with anyone, besides Lottie.
"Okay, so first-" Ms. Griff began, but she was interrupted by none other than Charlie Taylor rushing into the classroom. He mumbled something to her about how he was sorry, and sat down. Ms. Gruff rolled her eyes and continued,
"First, Charlotte Green and Fredrick Lucas,"
I groaned, as did Lottie. Freddie glanced at her and winked. I listened as Ms. Gruff rambled off partners,
"Mary Leeds and Josh North; Penelope Fields and Peter Freed; and finally Quinn Clark and Charlie Taylor."
I almost choked on my own spit. Did she just say that me and Charlie were partners?
