"we are coming in a minute Josh !" i shouted over

"You are going to call him Josh ?'' Ray asked

"Yeah, he is not my father nor dad. our father is not even my dad, Gio is more of a dad..." i say in an upset tone

"Lets just go back okay ?" Ray said, and we jogged back into the restaurant. when we enter the restaurant some people stare at us cause you know, earlier i stormed out.

Ray leaned in to me and whisper "Be nice Hailee, don't break mom's heart" i just nodded

i sit back on my chair and put a napkin on my lap. I then just played my phone until someone break the silence. not mom, not Gio, not Ray, Josh. what is up with him ?

"so where do you go to school Kendall ?" does he have to bring every aspect of my life ?

"Robinson's" i said pouting

Gio hit my arm and whisper "Be polite Kendall..."

"fine"

The food then came. i decided not to share my food since i am in a bad mood. at least food makes me feel good. food wins my heart anytime. chocolate milk, dad used to  make it for me. we would not buy pre-made chocolate milk. when i was a kid, me and my brothers were forced to drink malted mil. we hated it and well everybody loves chocolate so dad would put some chocolate chips in our milk and the chocolat will melt.  it brings so much memories

"Kendall, Raymond, Gio was your father nice to you ?"

"Josh..." mom said hitting him

"He was, Josh ! and im sure he has some reasons. and im sure it makes sense. don't you dare say something bad about my father" i said in anger

"Please don't talk about him Josh, we don't care he left us. im sure he still care and love us" Gio said 

"and we still care and love him. we miss him everyday" Ray said patting my back

"I am not going to talk about bad thing your father. i just want to know what  you dont want me to do if i become you father figure"

"What do you mean ?" Me, Ray and Gio said at the same time

"we are getting married kids..." mom said holding josh's hand

silence happened

i put my head on the table. this can't be happening. my dreams are shattred. my hopes are broken. it all happens in one night. i then cry softly. my tears are falling out. it felt like the fucking sea water. Gio brush my hair with his hands softly. it doesnt help Gio. it doesnt make the world better. Ray's tears start to fall out too. we still hope. now we realize that hope is for suckers and losers, it just doesnt happen

''Can we go home now ?" i said softly wiping my tears

"of course sweety..." mom said

mom and her boyfriend, wait, fiance, Josh. They pay the bills and well go home. i wish i had Aris right beside me right now. i want to bury my face into his chest. after they pay the bills, Josh kisses my mom. it made me fucking sick. after all that crap we all went inside Gio's car,.let me clearify, without josh. tears was still falling down my face

the car was a series of silence and awkwardness. when we arrived, i just stormed inside my room. i dont care. mom knocks my door, shit

"Mom ?"

"can i please come in Kendall ?"

"can we please just talk tomorrow ?"

"okay sweety, goodnight..."

i change into my white sports bra, black and white PINK hoodie, grey sweatpants and black nikes. i then climbed out of my window and jog  next door. i climbed a tree and hopped to Aris's window. i knock it and Aris opened it. ive text him before. i put a finger infront of my mouth giving a 'sshhh' look.

"What's wrong ?" Aris asked, his face is worried and curious at the same time.

"My family, My hope, My dreams... theyre shattered" I said cring and buriying my head into his chest.
