Scream to be heard (Jack barakat fanfiction)

Part 4

After we had pizza we sat there for another half hour so just talking about random stuff at first then we some how got on the subject of Jack's ex.

"Dude she was a bitch!" Alex said to Jack.

"I know I know." He replied 

"Well then why did you go out with her?" 

We were all silent. We just stared at Jack waiting for the answer. Did I want to know the answer? Well what did it matter to me, I wasn't dating Jack. I don't even like Jack. Do I?

"She was hot man, you would have done the same." He finally said

"True." Alex said and leaned back in his chair. Grace jabbed him in the ribs because of his comment.

"Ouch. Grace!" 

Me and Grace both laughed. Alex deserved it.

"She's not as hot as this babe right here!" Jack said and put his arm around me.

I almost broke down of excitement and embarrassment right then and there. My heart was beating out of my chest. No one has ever said that about me before. i look up at Jack with a look that said 'are you fucking serious.'

"Jack and Margo sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Alex screamed 

Jack let go of me and shouted back to Alex.

"Shut up Alex, I was just kidding!"

I could feel my heart break just from what Jack said. I guess that answers the do-i-really-like-Jack question. After that heartbreaking experience I kinda wanted to just go home and stay in my room forever, but instead we all walked out of the mall and Grace said her and Alex were going back to Alex's place so that meant me and Jack were on our own for the rest of the evening. I remember Grace telling me we were going outside, but where? I got into Jack's car feeling kinda weird. I don't even know where we stand. Are we friends or did he just want someone to go with him while he hung out with Grace and Alex?

"So Jack, where to next?" I asked

"It's a surprise." he said 

"I still don't trust you" I say while laughing 

"Oh come on, I'm not going to kill you in the middle of the woods or anything." 

"I don't know, you give off the I'm-going to kill-you-and-your-family vibe"

We both laughed as Jack started the car.

After about a half hour of driving to who the hell knows where and listening to Green Day we finally arrived at the top of a hill just outside of town. What looks to be a campsite was already set up.

"Jack, where the hell are we?" I ask

"My camp, I come here all the time." he said while we got out of the car.

"No one else knows about this place so shhhhhh"

"Why did you bring me here?"

"Because its night time and we can look at the stars. I don't know i thought it would be cool." he climbed on top of his car and lied down. I just stood there like a idiot.

"aren't you coming?" he asked

I shrug my shoulders and lie on the car with him. After a few minuets of looking up at the night sky I say to Jack.

"Jack."

"Hmm?"

"Whats the real reason you brought me here?"

"Ha you're one smart girl, but I can't tell you yet."

"Why not?"

"You really want to know?"

"Uh ya"

"I don't think you want to know, because you'll projectile vomit all over my camp."

"Oh for fuck sake Jack, just tell me."

"ok ok, I wanted to tell you that I really do like you. I was going to tell you at school, but I wanted to get to know you."

"What did you learn about me?"

"I learned that you can take a joke, you don't mind losing, you like to have fun, you're funny as hell sometimes, and you're very reserved. You only talk to the people you think worthy."

I was speechless. All those things were true, and it amazed me that he picked up why I don't talk much.

"I want to be worthy, Margo. Do you want to go out on a actual date with me?"

I nodded my head.

We sat there for hours in silence. Six feet under the stars.

Jack drove me home around ten 'o' clock. I walked through the front door of my house with a big grin on my face. I walked upstairs and got a shower and threw on some pajamas and climbed into bed. I stared at the celling for what seemed like hours before falling asleep.

"Margo!" Alexis screamed

"Two minuets!"

I jumped up and ran toward my closet. I wanted to wear something cute, but not to cute, and something still true to myself. I threw on a black dress and some black leggings and ran outside. Not to my surprise, Alexis already left. I sigh and start walking. I put in my earphones and try my best to stay warm. Soon i heard a car horn honk at me. 

I look to my left to see a familiar car and then, a familiar face. Jack. 

"Hey! What are you doing out in the cold!" he shouted

I shrugged my shoulders.

"Get in!"

i got in the passenger seat, and Jack turned up the heat in the car.

"Jeez Margo, its freezing out there."

I shoot him a look that said 'no duh'

"Well if it helps at all you look amazing. When i saw you walking i thought 'Hey! a prostitute!' but then i thought 'wait they don't come out during the day, it must be Margo.'"

I laugh and punch him on the arm.

"We should get going to school we're going to be late"

We arrived at the school just on time. Jack and I walked to first period and sat down in the back row. The lesson in history was exceptionally boring today, so I ended up doodling again. After History, Jack walked me to my Art class then he was of to science I'm pretty sure. Art has always been the best part of the day. 

I get to doodle and paint and draw while getting a grade. I worked on my Blink-182 bunny painting all period. After a few more boring periods came lunch. I met Alex and Grace at the lunch line and Jack soon followed. I sat in my usual seat next to Jack and Grace with Alex next to her. I didn't get anything to eat, now that I'm Jack's girlfriend I need to make some sacrifices to keep him. One of them has to be food.
